For this one, we invited the Belgium Techno trailblazer Antony Doria to headline the night followed by Marco Ramos.

Antony Doria was born in Belgium in 1981. 
Inspired by the notorious Belgian techno night club Fuse, he began to explore mixing himself - via the influences of DJ Pierre and Dave Clarke.
His style is a blend of powerful, hypnotic techno and a dynamic mix.
After a few years of production, he was able to work with some of the most recognised labels in the industry. Soma, MORD, Materia, Illegal Alien, Symbolism, Dynamic Réflection and many more. His productions have also been played for artists who have inspired him, such as Dave Clarke, Luke Slater, DVS1, Ben Sims, Kr!z, Joseph Capriati, Tensal, and many others...
He had the opportunity to play twice at the legendary Fuse in Brussels in 2023. Between 2022 and 2023, he performed several times in Berlin, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Estonia.
A podcast for Ben Sims' Hardgroove channel is also a success.
For 2024, several collaborations are once again underway with Materia for a VA, an EP and a label night.

And for this one, we invited our resident, @marcoramoslive to headline the 5th edition of our “OPEN TILL CLOSED” concept.
Expect a five-hour musical journey through different shades of Techno.
Hypnotic synths, rolling bass lines, trippy percussive elements and as usual powerful 909 kicks.

Marco Ramos, a Portuguese bohemian DJ/producer and avid art, music, and nightlife enthusiast, is based in Amsterdam. Renowned for his distinctive mixing style and eclectic sets, he stands out as a versatile DJ seamlessly navigating genres from Techno to Electro.
Marco has graced the stages of key clubs and prominent music festivals in Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, and Germany throughout his career.
Sharing the stage with an array of international artists, Marco has collaborated with the likes of Carl Craig, Gary Beck, Industrialyzer, Jeff Mills, Jeroen Search, Norbak, Stanislav Tolkachev, Tommy Four Seven, Truncate, The Advent, Temudo and many others, showcasing the breadth of his musical network.
With releases on labels like VS and Subsist Records, Marco's music has gained support from influential figures in the industry. In 2024, he looks forward to releases on the Mexican cult label, Illegal Alien Records, showcasing his ongoing journey in electronic music.

This Saturday, 25th of May 2024, we joined forces with the 909 Therapy crew to bring you another stellar Techno night, headlined by the Illegal Alien label boss, Ricardo Garduno.
Born and raised in Mexico, Ricardo Garduno is no stranger to the global Techno industry. Active since the early 2000s and Founder of Illegal Alien Records in 2007, one of the most respectable Techno imprints in the world to date.
He has many successful productions released on some of the most reputable Techno labels such as Warm Up, Token, Plus 8, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, and Intacto.
Ricardo Garduno will be supported by our resident DJ, Marco Ramos.

@maxgardnermusic is a San Francisco DJ and producer deeply rooted in the techno scene. 
His journey started without seeking fame, focusing on the music’s essence. Max founded the @peeraudio label, prioritizing musical quality over celebrity, collaborating with respected techno artists. His style ranges from psychedelic to suspenseful, captivating audiences worldwide at clubs and festivals. As an originator of @directtoearth and a resident DJ for over 12 years, Max’s European tour in 2023 solidified his place in the techno realm, where he thrives in creating timeless, pure audio experiences.

And for this one, we invited one of the best Techno producers around, none other than Amsterdam's living legend, Secret Cinema! "A key figure on the Dutch scene since 1991. An international headlining artist known for his sets in Berghain, Space Ibiza, Womb Tokio, Watergate, his frequent Elrow gigs or headlining every major festival in the Netherlands. Gem Records label boss responsible for moving the careers of Egbert, Enrico Sangiuliano and Reinier Zonneveld forward. Steady producer of countless essential techno classics for over 25 years. One of the most original and down-to-earth pioneers of electronic music on the planet. All legitimate ways to describe Jeroen Verheij a.k.a. Secret Cinema." One of the most original and down-to-earth pioneers of electronic music on the planet. All legitimate ways to describe Jeroen Verheij a.k.a. Secret Cinema.   The artist known best for his Secret Cinema work started the nineties off with an array of projects that each played important roles. Verheij’s story started at one defining moment in 1990 at his parents’ house near Rotterdam, the Netherlands: The moment he decided to stop playing video games and start making music on his Amiga 500 computer. His first release ‘Sonar System’ as Meng Syndicate (Hithouse Records 1991) became an instant rave classic.  Hungry for more the young producer invested his royalties in equipment. His friend Gert-Jan Bijl (a.k.a. 4lux frontman Gerd) recommended the Kurzweil K2000. This piece of equipment sparked an extremely productive period: “I made most of my nineties hits in 1994 sitting on the side of my bed because the room was too small to fit a chair in”. It was there that he made Point Blank - Meng's Theme; a track that according to the Swedish Drumcode label boss himself, inspired Adam Beyer to start making techno. The first Secret Cinema release “Timeless Altitude” followed soon and was a massive worldwide club hit played by Väth, Cox and was a Love Parade favourite. Grooveyard - Watch Me Now and Mary Go W!ld were huge crossover hits that made their way from the club into the national charts in several countries.   At the time, Secret Cinema was part of a now-extinct species of musicians who made a living selling music without performing. He had one strong principle; he only wanted to perform his music live on stage, no DJing. It was only sporadically he would bring out his huge rack of equipment to play a live set, inserting floppy disks with samples for each track. Again, it was a piece of equipment that brought around change…  In 1998 Verheij discovered the Yamaha SU700 sampler sequencer: “It felt like the missing link for my live sets. I could mix from one song to the next like a DJ, but with control over every sound and effect”. This compact setup made Secret Cinema a pioneer of live acts as we have come to know them today. It also gave birth to an international career with travel now within reach; trips to Japan, China and across Europe. It was the setup with which he headlined many festivals in the early 00’s such as Wire, Mystery Land, Dance Valley and closing the main stage of Awakenings Festival 2005.  After 15 years of strictly live sets, Verheij broke his promise to himself. He decided it was time to get more freedom to play a different sound than his own. The start of Secret Cinema’s DJ career. It was then that he discovered Egbert who had a huge collection of unreleased tracks which only needed polishing. Gem Records with its booking agency and label nights was formed to accommodate the new talent Verheij discovered in his search for new music which no one else had yet. “The collective that started to form around me served as inspiration to find a new sound as a producer”. This resulted in chart successes such as ‘Kurzweil’, ‘Jazz Me’ and ‘Shake Ur Tek-Ass’. It also gave birth to a new act: Secret Cinema & Egbert. The duo is in high demand for their back-to-back performances and their releases.  Secret Cinema’s Gem Sessions club nights have grown increasingly popular, now selling out venues such as the legendary Melkweg in Amsterdam where the infamous all-night Gem Sessions take place with all artists on stage all night. Amsterdam Dance Event 2016 saw a collaboration with 909 for a sold-out 3000 visitor showcase at Warehouse 22.  Looking back on his career with releases on Gem, EC, Drumcode and Cocoon that defined the sound of eras for many clubbers of several generations and headlining stages across the globe Secret Cinema still feels he must accomplish more. “It’s funny, but after 25 years I feel I still haven’t reached my goal. Slowly but surely, I am still growing towards it. I always feel I need to prove myself. But maybe that is the driving force I need to keep going. It’s always been that way really. Balance is of the essence”.

Amsterdam Techno Sessions is a weekly Techno event, held every Thursday, in Amsterdam. Every week, local and international artists are invited to showcase their work and personal definitions of Techno.  For this Thursday, 28th of March 2024, we prepared another stellar Techno night, headlined by the ELBEREC label boss, the Portuguese Techno talent Valody. Valody, originally from Viseu, Portugal, and now based in the Netherlands, is a versatile artist serving as a DJ, Producer, and the driving force behind the Elberec label. Recognized for her bold choices, she crafts an unstoppable energy on the dance floor that captivates all who join the rhythm. Valody effortlessly weaves between soft and powerful, infusing her selections with freshness and vibrancy, focusing on Techno with an open embrace of diverse influences. As a cultural agitator, she actively contributes to Portugal’s electronic music scene, championing both well-known talents and the undiscovered gems. Valody’s devotion and hard work shine through, and the recent years of the burgeoning rave scene in Portugal undoubtedly propelled her artistic growth. Valody will be supported by Marco Ramos.
