This summer, for 8 weeks, every Wednesday evening, we’re going out with Offline in the beautiful center of Amsterdam to create art. No phones, just you and your creativity!

We start each week at 7:30 PM at the Herengracht. Here you can leave your belongings (and your phone!). Then we’ll walk through the city. Each week we visit a different place, and at each location, there’s a story, a little history lesson, or something special to hear. After that, we’ll work with a different medium and different assignment each week. We provide the materials, assistance where needed, and sometimes even a guest teacher.

Classes are for all levels. In case of bad weather we have an alternative program inside our workspace.

Join in for €25,- a class or €80,- for 4 classes (ex eventbrite fee). Not sure yet if you can make it to 4 classes, no problem. Buy one class every week and we can apply a discount on the 4th class.

​Join The Offline Club at the cozy Café Pipes and Beans by locking your phone away and enjoying relaxed time free of digital distractions, surrounded by like-minded people.

​This event ensures you have blocked off, screen-free time in your agenda. It allows you to unwind, meet others, and catch up on hobbies you never have the time for.

​The Program

​At the hangout, we’ve designed a fun program that mixes time to yourself with time to connect and socialize with others.

​Time to yourself

​Sit back and recharge by reading a book, drawing, journaling, or engaging in any solo activity you like. You will do your own thing without being disturbed while enjoying relaxed music in the background. Please bring your own books or creative supplies to keep yourself busy. 

​Time to connect

​Socialize with friends or strangers, but only if you feel like it. This is the time to meet others, have conversations, discuss books, share ideas, or play games. Of course, you can keep to yourself if you prefer. 

​We can’t wait to swap screen time for real time with you.

Event lasts 3 uren

During this course we will decorate a bag with leather paint under the guidance of Nine. For this course you bring your own (faux) leather bag or you can buy one on the spot for a nice price. Its also possible to embellish items like gloves, wallets etc.

The course is held in an unique 17th century style room with a view over the private gardens, in the centre of Amsterdam.

To make it easy on yourself, we recommend a bag that does not have too many folds and a flat surface you can paint on. During the course itself, you are not supposed to look for inspiration on your phone. We will provide reference material (various books, magazines and other mediums). If you do want to recreate a design you saw online, print it out or bring a sketch. We will provide an apron but also recommend that you don’t wear your finest outfit so it’s not ruined if you drop some paint on yourself ;-).
  
This course will be in Dutch if all participants are Dutch speaking. Otherwise it will be held in English.
