On March 12, Boom Chicago’s Music Improv Spectacular takes the stage. And this time, it’s all about the incredible stories of Somi Lynda!

Somi, the powerhouse behind @driplist (185k Instagram followers, 200k on TikTok), has captivated audiences worldwide with her hilarious takes on Dutch life through the eyes of an expat. From our obsession with cheese to the peculiarities of Dutch birthdays, she’s seen it all—and lived to laugh about it!

In this unforgettable evening, Boom Chicago’s cast will create improvised scenes and songs inspired by Somi’s journey: moving from Nigeria to the Netherlands for work, staying for love, and building a thriving social business. And with the release of her book A Fun Guide to Navigating the Netherlands on March 11, the timing couldn’t be better!

Charting a sustainability strategy requires serious commitment and effort within the organization and in its value chain. During this 75-minute show, Anouk ter Laak will share captivating stories about her career and life. Inspired by these stories, the Boom comedians will create original, improvised scenes and songs on the spot. It sounds impossible, but it’s hysterical and exciting!

For the first time in Amsterdam, Yohay Sponder will be performing his new show, ‘Self Loving Jew’.

Sponder talks about self love, identity and faith. His humor, smart wit and unapologetic attitude are the perfect antidote for even the toughest of times. He truly believes he can cure the world’s troubles one laugh at a time … but this time the joke’s on him!

Yohay Sponder is an Israeli bilingual comedian with over 20 years of experience. Sponder brings his unique outlook on life to the stage. Throughout his career he has starred in multiple TV and radio shows, he produces and headlines in ‘Funny Monday – Israeli Comedy in English’ and has performed all over the world.

The fast-rising British comedienne Grace Campbell is coming to Boom Chicago.

With her fast-paced, provocative stand-up, Grace Campbell is one of the UK’s most talked-about new comedians. In addition to being a comedian, she is also a writer and producer, and is conquering the UK with her sharp tongue and witty humor. She is on a constant mission to challenge and undermine all those in power and existing conventions. In her new show ‘Grace Campbell is On Heat’, the honest comedian asks big questions about the world, her genitals, and her obsession with her dog.

Lovers of provocative, wild humor about vital topics will get their money’s worth during a Grace Campbell show. She has her own satirical view on sexuality and gender, and makes great jokes about it in her characteristically direct way. But she also does not shy away from politics. Hailing from North West London, she fearlessly trashed politician Nigel Farage on live TV and is committed to equal rights for female and LBGTQ+ comedians. She founded her own comedy evening in which she made those ideals reality: the Disgrace Comedy Club.

Gursimran Khamba is a stand up comic, writer, director, producer and various other titles that require constantly chasing after invoices. He was the co-founder of AIB and has performed over 1000 shows across the world and prefers people watching him live rather than uploading material on Youtube and living a life defined by algorithms.

His recent work includes creating and writing Gormint on Amazon, Chalo Koi Baat Nahi on Sony Liv and being the Creative Director of Kapil Sharma’s Netflix special – I’m Not Done Yet.

Natalie Cuomo & Dan LaMorte – The Funnymoon Tour

Stand-up comedians Natalie Cuomo and Dan LaMorte are teaming up for a tour! Cuomo and LaMorte will first each perform their own show separately, after which they will conclude the evening together with hilarious improvisations and sharp roasts.

New York comedians Natalie Cuomo and Dan LaMorte recently got married, but why go on a traditional honeymoon when you can tour European comedy clubs together? Thus, the idea for “The Funnymoon Tour” was born, with the duo performing shows together across Europe.

Natalie Cuomo was born and raised in New York City. In that city, she quickly became one of the top acts in the club scene. She was one of New York Comedy Festivals “Comics to Watch” and has been featured in Time Out NY, LA Times, New York Magazine, Inked Magazine, and Metal Injection, among others. She has over a million followers on social media and is a Partner on Twitch, where she mixes gaming with stand-up for and with fans.

Dan LaMorte is a unique comedian, not only because he is on the autism spectrum. After a severe injury ended his baseball career prematurely, he weighed 175 kilos at the age of 23. But in three years, he lost over 90 kilos and became an ultra-runner. All these experiences give him a very unique perspective on the world. In 2023, he was named one of the “New Faces” at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and he performs in comedy clubs all over New York City.
