Stand-up comedienne Maisie Adam is coming to the Netherlands for the first time. On Wednesday 22 January 2025, the British comedian will perform her new show ‘Appraisal’ at Boom Chicago Amsterdam. Ticket sales have started immediately via Ticketmaster.

Maisie Adam has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the comedy world and is fast becoming an established name. Following her previous sold-out, critically acclaimed debut tour of the UK, hosting ‘Live At The Apollo’ and appearances on popular shows ‘A League Of Their Own’ and ‘Have I Got News For You’, she is now touring internationally with her new show ‘Appraisal’.

In ‘Appraisal’, Adam examines her now five-year career: can she prove what makes her an award-winning comedian, or is it time for a shake-up?

Adam’s comedy career began when she won the ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ award (previously won by such well-known comedians as Peter Kay, Aisling Bea and Tom Allen) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The following year she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Her anecdotal stories and sharp charm earned her much praise, and she soon appeared on many TV shows including ‘Mock The Week’, ‘Have I Got News For You’, ‘QI’, ‘The Last Leg’ and ‘8 Out Of 10 Cats’. In addition, as a huge football fan, Adam co-hosts the ‘Big Kick Energy’ football podcast, which was named Sports Podcast Of The Year at the 2023 Broadcast Sport Awards.

Self-help Singh is the alter ego of international comedian Masood Boomgaard. Self-help Singh, described as a comedic alternative life coach and de-motivational speaker, came to life in a vision after Masood fell and hit his head while rushing to the bathroom to avoid the gut-related effects of a bad lamb vindaloo. Since then, Boomgaard has been sharing Self-help Singh’s common sense wisdom and de-motivational lessons with millions of people online.

Self-help Singh’s live show is a hilarious yet thought-provoking mix of stand-up comedy, parody and motivational speeches. During his ten-year career as a professional comedian, Boomgaard has performed in cities including New York, London, Dubai and, during lockdown, in his dad’s garage. He lives in South Africa with his cat… for now.

Josh Berry is a British comedian known for his exceptional talent in impressions and satire. Rising to prominence through his spot-on impersonations of public figures, including politicians and celebrities, Berry has carved a niche for himself in the comedy scene. His work often features on social media platforms, where his videos have garnered substantial views and a dedicated following.

Berry’s comedic style is sharp and insightful, blending humor with keen observations on current events and societal trends. With his quick wit and remarkable vocal mimicry, Josh Berry continues to entertain and engage audiences, solidifying his reputation as one of the prominent voices in contemporary British comedy.

In his new show, Josh Berry explores his own fragile masculinity and the inner vestiges of his subconscious through a plethora of characters and impressions. He’ll also belittle the audience for their life decisions and psychological make up.

Other highlights of 2024 include joining Ireland’s finest at the Paddy Power Comedy Festival in July and a mini-tour around the island with friends Michelle Wolf and Marnie Manning.

Kyla brings freshness to the scene with her unique connection to the audience. Her honest, blunt and deep storytelling style combined with her powerful energy on stage, have made her the big new talent you don’t want to miss.

Jordan Jensen started comedy in upstate NY before moving to Nashville TN, where she spent a year working for clubs and taking her comedy on the road in her pickup truck.

Most recently, she was featured on “The Late Late Show with James Corden”. In 2021, Jordan was named the first female comic to win “NY’s Funniest Stand Up” at the NY Comedy Festival. She now lives in Brooklyn NY and has since been featured on SiriusXM, as a “New Face” at the prestigious Just For Laughs comedy festival and is now a regular at the renowned Comedy Cellar.

Her comedy consists of tales of her bizarre upbringing, highly unconventional family, and filterless confessions of her time on this filthy planet.
