Sasa­Hara (they/​​​​them) is a French-Al­ger­ian artist based in Am­s­ter­dam. They work with drag-trans­formism, text and vi­sual work with an ob­ses­sion for mytholo­gies. Their ex­plo­ra­tion goes to the mak­ing of queer mytholo­gies, rag­ing to the re­al­iza­tion that the ever-ex­ist­ing queer­ness has been kept out of the known mytholo­gies. When pa­tri­archy mar­gin­al­izes the queer bod­ies and sto­ries, Sasa­Hara gives space for them: they write these un­told past lives, they cre­ate drag mon­sters to em­body them, and they per­form it for all to see. -- (Text and image)
