Looking back on a lovely year at Doka, with our wonderful guests Red Greg, Femdelic, Lakuti, Volcov, KC The Funkaholic and of course Mendel. It’s heartwarming to see many of you returning regularly, building the musical home that we believe in together. We’re very excited for the upcoming season. Which brings us to: Ciranda Sundays is back on October 2! For our next Sunday we’ve invited the always adventurous Mafalda. Originally from Portugal, London-based Mafalda brings the sun everywhere she goes. Her sets of infectious grooves and diverse rhythms leave everybody with a big smile and satisfied feet. Mafalda co-founded Melodies International with Floating Points, and recently started her own label Tropic of Love Music, named after her NTS show in which she explores themes close to her heart. Mafalda celebrates the values she stands for through the music she plays, carrying a message of peace, love, unity and hope. We’re looking forward to dancing together to Mafalda and Mendel’s sonic story in a couple weeks!
