DREAMER INTERDISCIPLINARY PERFORMANCE + FILM SCREENING by ANDREA HACKL DREAMER is an interdisciplinary and ongoing performance project by the Amsterdam based choreographer and film maker Andrea Hackl and invited collaborators. It's a fluid journey traveling through an organism of film, music and performance which continues to evolve. The project is inspired by mythology, the theme of ritual and our connection with nature. “Who among you can at the same time laugh and be exalted? Who climbs upon the highest mountains laughs at all tragedies, real or imaginary. Untroubled, scornful, outrageous – that is how wisdom wants us to be: she is a woman who never loves anyone but a warrior.” – Nietzsche Amongst other elements, this evening will feature: 1: BELE BELTZA, an award winning short film by Andrea Hackl that has been traveling festivals world wide. A work shot on solo treks around the Mont Blanc massif and across the Pyrenees. It is a collage of personal stories overlapping with stories and anecdotes of other female wanderers and mountaineers, such as Nan Shepherd (The Living Mountain) and Rebecca Solnit (Wanderlust).
