Na een (langdurige) uitstapje naar het Nederlands komt Racoon dit najaar eindelijk weer met een volledig Engelstalig album! Eerste singles Nickel For Goodbye en It’s You Or Me leggen de lat hoog en de verwachtingen zijn dan ook hooggespannen. Zeker als je beseft hoeveel Engelstalige hits de band inmiddels al gemaakt heeft; denk alleen al aan krakers als Love You More, No Mercy en Laugh About It. Natuurlijk laten ze hun Nederlandstalige werk niet opeens links liggen en wij kijken dan ook reikhalzend uit naar een ouderwetse avond met Racoon; kwetsbaar, stoer, recht voor z’n raap en altijd steengoed. After a (lengthy) excursion into Dutch territory, Racoon is finally returning this autumn with a fully English-language album! The first singles “Nickel For Goodbye” and “It’s You Or Me” set the bar high, and expectations are soaring. Especially when you realize how many English-language hits the band has already produced; just think of smash hits like “Love You More,” “No Mercy,” and “Laugh About It.” Of course, they’re not suddenly neglecting their Dutch work, and we’re eagerly anticipating a classic Racoon evening; vulnerable, tough, straightforward, and always top-notch.
