When it comes to latin jazz, you cannot ignore the name Peruchín. Rodolfo Argudin Justiz ‘Peruchín’ has stirred up the genre with his style ‘El piano en la Timba’, combining Cuban dance music with wonderful piano playing. He learned to play the piano from his mother Xiomara Justiz and his grandfather Pedro Justiz ‘Peruchín’, a Cuban piano legend from the 1940s and 50s. Following in his footsteps, and using the same moniker, Rodolfo has built a solid reputation. For example as the musical director of Barbarito Torres, who’s known from Buena Vista Social Club. After the concert the music will continue with Salsa Panorama, a Cuban salsa party at our café with an incredible view, where everybody is invited to dance. With or without experience, everybody is welcome. Salsa Panorama has become a tradition at the BIMHUIS: this is the eighth edition already.
