Nowadays we are constantly interacting with computers like our smartphones, tablets notebooks or personal computers and it’s hard to imagine a life without them. If you ever wondered how the early personal computers looked, or if you want to go back in time and play with the computer you had many decades ago: Here's your chance!

We've arranged a special event at the one-of-a-kind HomeComputerMuseum in Helmond. This museum showcases a wide range of computers, providing a glimpse into their evolution – and you can touch and play with all of them. What's even more exciting is that we'll be holding a discussion right in the midst of these historical computers.

For whom is this event?
Computer enthusiasts and those just curious about vintage computers are cordially invited to explore and exchange thoughts on this fascinating topic. We look forward to having you join us!

Let’s talk about computers 

As we live in a world filled with an overload of daily information, we invite you to join us for an evening all about poetry and appreciating its beauty. Bring one of your own poems or one of your favorite poets! You can either read it yourself or if you're shy, our presenter will do it for you. Upon arrival, you can tell us.

It is a great opportunity to express yourself by reading a poem close to you. This might be a memory from your childhood, a live event, or simply an inspiration. Let's hear the poem you chose, maybe you'll find a new talent or discover a new poem that was unknown to you.

The event will consist of two rounds. In the first round, the poems will be read by you or the moderator. The second round will consist of interactive discussion and connection with others. Our discussion will focus on poetry. The session is open to everyone. Make an impact by sharing your opinion!

The Presenter/Moderator for this Equal Table discussion is Kjara Sofi Rasela, a communication graduate and devoted supporter of Equal Table. Kjara is passionate about poetry and believes in the importance of collectively appreciating multiple interpretations of words to keep the art of poetry alive.

We are delighted to announce that we will host this Equal Table with our partner, The Social Hub, Eindhoven. This is a hip place with amazing social activities. It has a restaurant with delicious food and a hotel that is comfortable during your travels.

About this Event



Collectively we will host a space where women can learn more about art through workshops; practise and explore different art mediums; buy art from female artists and; overall connect with one another over a shared love for art. We want women to reclaim their space in the art world and join us for an event where you don’t have to be an expert to share your opinion.

Sustainable Water Management. What is my impact?

Do you care about nature and have the Netherlands become your home? 

Are you aware of the water issues (quality, pollution from industry, technology, etc) in the region where you live and how can you play a part?

In a time when climate change advances, we want to talk with you about water. Water is the base of nearly everything in life: our health, nature, farming, and recreation. The availability of enough clean water looks to be obvious but isn’t anymore. Climate change in Holland leads to droughts and floods. In the meantime, we can contribute to solutions as citizens. A brief presentation will be given about the challenges of water management in our surroundings in Brabant. We would like to discuss with you how droughts and floods affect you and how we can make a positive impact.

The presentation for the discussion is given by Mado Ruijs who is passionate about healthy water, nature, and sustainability. She works for the regional Waterboard ‘De Dommel’. She will share her thoughts on sustainable water use when you consider the whole picture and the water system.

We will hold the interactive discussion in two rounds using a light version of the Equal table.

A talk/presentation will take place in the first round, followed by an open-table discussion led by moderators in the second round. Our discussion will focus on water, sustainability, nature, and impact. This session is open to everyone. Make an impact by sharing your opinion!

We are happy to partner with EHV Innovation Cafe in hosting this Equal Table at Kazerne. The place is beautiful and well-designed, and it is a place you should see.

There's something about watching reality tv that attracts us, something overwhelmingly addictive about the emotions and drama on the show that makes us want to keep watching it.
Can watching other people's lives protect us from mistakes or are we missing important emotional sparks in our relationships? Are we curious to experience the unlikely circumstances of sudden fortune, fame, the realization of a dream, the discovery of true love? Do we feel safer facing the challenges we most dare by watching them on the other side of the TV?

As a psychologist, reality shows gave her the opportunity to explore social experiences in real-life settings and live through others' different experiences. In this event, she is looking forward to exploring what it is like to be a contestant in one of these shows and finding your main motivation when watching them.

The topic of museums and their impact on society will be discussed at this Equal Table.

Museums are non-profit organization with the aim of educating, engaging and sharing knowledge to the community. However, sometimes it isn't easy to understand the message they are trying to share(Does everyone understand the underlying message?).

From the outside, museums can sometimes look like “elite” places where only cultured people can afford to gain insights from the work of art: Should museums foster inclusivity by focusing on a wider range of audiences?

During this discussion, we are going to open a dialogue on how museums can create experiences to reach a broader audience and how they can create an impact on communities.

Linda Rubino, the moderator of this Equal Table discussion, is looking forward to exploring the role of museums in your life and the experiences you are expecting when you decide to visit one.

The interactive discussion will be structured into three rounds. For each round, members of the audience will be drawn by lot and offered to actively join the discussion by taking one of the six chairs ‘on stage’. A seventh chair is always available for those in the audience who were not drawn.
