What is an update?

An update lets you send a message to your guests — no external tools, mailing software, or formatting needed. You write your message directly in BASH, choose who it’s for, and hit send.

Your update is:

  • Delivered as an email to your guests, styled to match your event

  • Shown on your event page — visible to both current and future visitors

  • Also sent as an in-app notification via BASH

Updates are great for sharing practical info, last-minute changes, or building hype around your event.

💡 Organisers who use updates regularly see their events shared more often among friend groups.

How do I send an update?

  1. Click “Send update” on your event page

  2. Write your message

  3. Choose who it should go to (e.g. all guests, guestlist only, etc.)

  4. Optionally add media (photo, Spotify, YouTube, etc.)

  5. Click “Send update”

Your message is sent right away and appears instantly on your event page.

What can I include?

You can format your update with:

  • Text (including bold, lists, and links)

  • Images

  • YouTube, Spotify or SoundCloud embeds

  • Emojis

Emails and the event page post will match your event’s visual style.

Where does the update appear?

  • In guests’ email inboxes (as long as they’re part of the selected group)

  • On your event page — visible to anyone who visits

  • As a BASH notification (in-app or via browser)

Guests can react to your update with emojis and comments, directly on the event page.
