Now, he’s curating his own night at Shelter, inviting S.A.M., Lola Palmer, and Sozef for a special evening of deep grooves and forward-thinking house. Tifra and Maurits take over the second room.

Closing June with Likeminded, an Amsterdam underground party series founded in 2017.

Loved by deep listeners and backed by a loyal following, Likeminded has grown from its roots at BRET — where it hosted the very first party and helped shape the venue — to popping up in Berlin and beyond.

They’re closing June at Shelter, together with Daan Donk, Fumiya Tanaka, and Margaret Dygas. The second room is hosted by Unlocked, where Unnik and Timoti take over.

Dam Swindle is back, and they’re opening a new chapter. Their long-awaited album “Open” lands on May 30, and to celebrate, they’re bringing Swindle Sessions to Shelter on July 5 as part of their international album tour.
Expect a night full of fresh energy and deep grooves in the main room, with Kikelomo and a fiery B2B from Demi Riquísimo and D Stone. Meanwhile, Bebe Bad and STIPP will be turning the RESTROOM into a dancefloor of its own.
This one’s for the heads and the hearts. Let’s celebrate “Open” together.

Cécille Records is back, and they’re taking over Shelter.

Founded by Nick Curly and Marc Scholl, the Mannheim-based label helped define the sound of late 2000s house and techno. Known for its warm, groove-driven style, Cécille launched the careers of artists like SiS, Ilario Alicante, and Johnny D, becoming a staple in the global underground scene.

After a hiatus, the iconic label made its long-awaited return, and on July 12th they’re bringing that unmistakable energy to Shelter with a stacked lineup featuring Easttown, Joëlla Jackson, Nick Curly and Reboot.

Get ready for a night of deep grooves, timeless rhythm, and the signature sound that helped shape a generation

As the sun sets over our favourite city, an explosive all-female collaboration takes us into the night, as LeMaia, Partisan and Night Moves team up to bring you a night you’ll never forget. We cannot wait to see Partisan head honcho, Anthea, go b2b with Oshana as Astral Travel, followed by Night Moves queen bee’s, Jane Fitz and Jade Seatle. With LeMaia label boss, Alexia Glensy, as the cherry on top of this extra sweet treat, we guarantee you’ll be disappointed if you miss this one.

Anthea

Anthea is charismatic both on and off the decks. Her established and distinct brand of funk-fuelled music spanning across electronic genres and years is requested consistently from every corner of the globe for over a decade now. It is her devotion to be spinning and digging the most exciting sounds on vinyl, that has cemented her as a powerful force in the house and techno scene, and is further demonstrated with her Partisan showcases and imprint.

Jane Fitz

“It’s not what records you have, but what you do with them, that’s important”. For those in the know, Jane Fitz is a revered selector. A DJ for over 20 years, Jane is resident in London at the Pickle Factory as well as her own party, Night Moves, and at legendary and truly boutique UK festival Freerotation, for which she received a Best Resident award-nomination at the DJMag Best of British Awards 2016. At home in the UK she has played at places such as secretsundaze, Krankbrother, Percolate, Louche, Zutekh, Butter Side Up, DiY and Fabric and never fails to impress with her deep selections and great sense of narrative.

ROUTE

Shelter is located at a stone’s throw from the city centre. Overhoeksplein is easily reachable by ferry. Right behind Amsterdam Central Station you will find ferries frequently leaving to Buiksloterweg.

Once you’ve crossed the IJ river to Buiksloterweg, take an immediate left and walk towards the high building known as the A’DAM Toren (A’DAM Tower). Make a right turn around the A’DAM Toren after crossing the bridge and you’ve reached Overhoeksplein. Shelter’s entrance is unmistakable: it’s the lifted hatch that sticks out prominently from the square.
