We warmly invite you to a Cacao Ceremony on Saturday September 14th.  

Share the moment with singing & music, mantras and medicine songs that open the heart. Celebrate life together, express your intention, sing & dance with the beautiful powerful heart-opening master plant raw cacao, which brings deep transformation. 🌱  

Tineke visited a yoga festival where she attended a cacao ceremony. She was so deeply moved by this ceremony that she started dreaming of bringing such a beautiful ceremony to her studio in Rotterdam. The idea did not remain an idea, luckily Sharon and Henry also felt a green light for this 💚  

In her words: ''I wish more people could experience this feeling of love, connection and inspiration. I can't think of a more beautiful closing ceremony for the studio. The studio on location may be closing down, but the love for creation will inevitably continue and flow where it wants to go! What is calling you?''  

To tune in to the ceremony, it is better not to drink alcohol the day before, eat moderate to no meat products. Do not drink caffeine a few hours before the ceremony and eat light. Wear clothes that you can sit comfortably in.  

Afterwards, there will be some tea and snacks available. If you want to bring something delicious or homemade to share, it's very welcome.  

Please bring:  
☕️Your own favorite mug or glass for the cocoa  
🪘Your own drum or other instrument is also very welcome  
🕯 A candle in a glass (without scent)  
🌸 Some fresh flowers for the altar  
🍇1 or 2 pieces of fruit for the altar  
(💰cash for the contribution from the 💚, so that they can continue to do these ceremonies to spread seeds of love & hope)

Cacao ceremony with Shaz & the Medicine Man

Our beloved yoga teacher Mira Wiersma made it all the way from France to facilitate a workshop in Lunar Acro Yoga!  

Lunar Acro Yoga is a unique blend of yoga poses, partner acrobatics, and therapeutic flying movements. This dynamic practice focuses on cultivating trust, communication, and synergy between partners.  

And it’s a lot of fun too! For most people, the movements are new, which results in a lot of mistakes and laughter in the beginning, but a deep relaxation once you get familiar with it.  

For Lunar Acro Yoga, you need to fully trust your partner, as they are stretching and massaging you, while you’re upside down. This results in deep stress release and relaxation. To top-up this relaxing experience, we end with performing an actual Thai massage on each other.  

The workshop includes:  
☀️ 2 hours Lunar Acro Yoga practice with variations  
☀️ 30 mins providing a flying Thai massage  
☀️ 30 mins receiving a flying Thai massage  

When the weather allows us, this workshop will take place at the Euromast Park.  

* Joined the acro yoga workshop last year? This year, Mira comes with different poses, so you’re more than welcome to expand your skills with new poses!

Acro Yoga x Thai Massage with Mira Wiersma

After summer, fall, and winter editions of this mini-retreat, we cannot wait to offer this spring edition!  

Winter’s accumulated snow and ice are beginning to melt. Gentle rains soak the land. The earth itself seems heavy with moisture and the landscape is becoming a wellspring of life. However, the seeds that you’ve planted during winter just started to grow. You shouldn’t harvest them too early, but instead focus on creating an environment in which they prosper and grow  

Marijke and Erika will guide you into this promising, uplifting season. The focus will be on cultivating compassion and patience. Something we often struggle with during this season in which we rush into new directions, ideas, and plans  

SHARING CIRCLE  
We start this mini-retreat with a sharing circle and time to write down your intention. Doing so, helps you to reflect, focus and connect  

YIN YOGA  
Marijke facilitates a yin yoga practice connected to the wood element. Wood is the element connected to spring in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the system on which Yin Yoga is based. The wood element is connected to compassion, patience and anger  

In yin yoga, you hold lying and sitting positions for 3-5 minutes, targeting the deeper layers of your body. This deep relaxation stimulates your meridians (energy paths in the body) and organs, releasing irritation and cultivating patience and compassion  

YOGA NIDRA  
After this, Erika will take you into an even more relaxed state with a Yoga Nidra practice that brings lightness and warmth. As you lie down and listen to Erika's voice, she puts you into the Deep Sleep State: empty of thoughts, full of healing and insight  

In Yoga Nidra, we work with the three doshas, the energetic forces of nature according to the Ayurvedic system. In spring, the Kapha Dosha is most present, just like during winter time. The Kapha Dosha is cold, wet, heavy, dense and slow. But just as spring melts the lingering ice and snow, it liquefies accumulated Kapha too. This results in a more dynamic rhythm, warmth, light and stimulation. This practice will lower your Kapha and bring your body and mind back into balance  

PROGRAM  
We start this mini-retreat with a sharing circle and time to write down your intention. After the practice of yin and nidra, there is time to share experiences or rest a little more to take it all in. We provide tea, fruits, and chocolate (vegan and gluten free)  

We provide mats, pillows, and blankets to ensure your comfort. However, feel free to bring any additional items that will enhance your relaxation, such as warm socks or an eye pillow. You’re invited to bring pen and paper too, to write down your intentions and anything that comes to mind
