KPMG Lentemarathon Amstelveen

Since 1991, the Leiden Marathon has been providing runners with an unforgettable experience. With a course that takes runners through the 900-year-old city where Rembrandt was born and the Pilgrims Fathers lived, as well as nine beautiful villages in the Green Heart, the marathon offers a unique atmosphere with enthusiastic spectators, good organization, and personal attention for every participant. The 42.195 km route has a six-hour time limit, and in 2019 it hosted around 14,000 runners (1,000 of whom ran the full marathon) and two thousand walkers on the same route. This event, which was inspired by the New York Marathon and sponsored by 3M for the first 10 years, continues to grow in popularity.
