On March 12, Boom Chicago’s Music Improv Spectacular takes the stage. And this time, it’s all about the incredible stories of Somi Lynda!

Somi, the powerhouse behind @driplist (185k Instagram followers, 200k on TikTok), has captivated audiences worldwide with her hilarious takes on Dutch life through the eyes of an expat. From our obsession with cheese to the peculiarities of Dutch birthdays, she’s seen it all—and lived to laugh about it!

In this unforgettable evening, Boom Chicago’s cast will create improvised scenes and songs inspired by Somi’s journey: moving from Nigeria to the Netherlands for work, staying for love, and building a thriving social business. And with the release of her book A Fun Guide to Navigating the Netherlands on March 11, the timing couldn’t be better!

Please note this show takes place in our Upstairs Theater, which is not wheelchair accessible.

At the same time, sustainability is all about the future, hope, and positive change. Charting a sustainability strategy requires serious commitment and effort within the organization and in its value chain. Yet to engage people within and outside of the organization, a touch of humor can really help! Find out what humor can do around this serious topic.

During this 75-minute show, Anouk ter Laak will share captivating stories about her career and life. Inspired by these stories, the Boom comedians will create original, improvised scenes and songs on the spot. It sounds impossible, but it’s hysterical and exciting!

Past storytellers have included Johan Cruyff Arena’s CEO Tanja Dik, Ted Lasso’s Brendan Hunt, world famous DJ Sunnery James, Podcast star Aaf Brandt Corstius, presenter Jorgen Raymann, actor Patrick Stoof, voice over actor Jurgen Theuns and English coach of the stars Buffi Duberman.

For the first time in Amsterdam, Yohay Sponder will be performing his new show, ‘Self Loving Jew’.

Sponder talks about self love, identity and faith. His humor, smart wit and unapologetic attitude are the perfect antidote for even the toughest of times. He truly believes he can cure the world’s troubles one laugh at a time … but this time the joke’s on him!

Yohay Sponder is an Israeli bilingual comedian with over 20 years of experience. Sponder brings his unique outlook on life to the stage. Throughout his career he has starred in multiple TV and radio shows, he produces and headlines in ‘Funny Monday – Israeli Comedy in English’ and has performed all over the world.
