The sheep may have snoozed, but while we dreamed and schemed, magical beings were plotting, sharpening their claws, and stoking their inner flames. Now, it’s time to rise, to let loose all that’s been simmering beneath the surface, and to set the skies ablaze with creativity, chaos, and unstoppable energy. Get ready to awaken your inner dragon — because where the sheep slept, the dragons will rise ! 🐉

Where The Sheep Sleep is more than just a celebration of community:  it is a massive, immersive, interactive playground that we all build and live in for four days. Where the Sheep Sleep is a Burning Man affiliated event!

A burn is a community-driven event where participants create a temporary space for art, self-expression, and collaboration, following principles like gifting, participation, and leaving no trace—everyone contributes, and nothing is left behind.

The events start with build & end with strike!

As we create this magical event together, he event begins with Build, which starts on Monday, June 16th, and continues until Thursday, June 19th. During this time, participants will come together to construct key elements of the event, including the Temple, DreamCamps, and other essential structures.

On Thursday, June 19th, the gates officially open, welcoming all participants. From this moment on, you can explore the event grounds, take part in creative activities, and immerse yourself in the unique experience of Where the Sheep Sleep.

The event concludes on Monday, June 23rd, when we transition into Strike. This is when participants begin taking down structures, cleaning up the site, and restoring the land to its original state—leaving no trace behind.

Whether you’re joining us for Build Week or arriving when the gates open, we’re excited to welcome you to this unforgettable experience!

DreamCamps

DreamCamps are the interactive core of Where the Sheep Sleep. They create a visually stimulating environment,  provide communal space, and opportunity for interaction.

DreamCamps are groups of friends or soon-to-be friends that get together and create unique experiences on the meadows. And everything they bring is created and organised by the participants. It’s up to you to decide if you want to start or join a DreamCamp, or you’d instead go free camping. 

If you are interested in creating your DreamCamp, there is a simple application process that you can go through. The application process involves describing your camp, including its theme and activities, and outlining any necessary infrastructure or resources you will need to bring.

Art is a fundamental part of Where the Sheep Sleep. The term art is quite large, encapsulating everything from large installation structures and sculptures, sound installations, art cars, participatory workshops & live performances.
