BRUUT!
Four-man formation BRUUT! continues to develop themselves by incorporating all possible genres in the pop encyclopedia into their music. After the danceable album Zest (Excelsior Recordings, 2022), they returned with more. And how! Their album Machine was released in the spring of 2024. By combining a mix of jazz, breakbeat and afrobeat with their impressive virtuosity, the foursome effortlessly transforms any stage into an alternative nightclub. Where the influence of The Chemical Brothers is mixed with the sound of East German organs and cheap toy synthesizers. Which jazz band can say that.. so put on your dancing shoes and get ready for a cosmic experience!

We duiken de kelder in voor een gezellige popquiz.. DJ’s Mr & Mevr Koot hosten de quiz samen met De Risikootjes. Dat belooft weer een lekker gevarieerd en bont spektakel te worden van beeld en geluid.

Non-Dutch teams are also very welcome to participate. The quiz can be presented entirely in English.

Is This It? De Popquiz – Matinee

Every week for the last 19 years, Anita has presented a movie night called Cinemanita. Hosted and programmed by the eccentric Jeffrey Babcock you never know what you will see this time, but be sure it is very NOW even though most of his movies are very old.

Digging up information about the directors, actors or plots Jeffrey always makes you watch the movie with a different view and of course… with an audience the experience is so much better than on your laptop.

De Nieuwe Anita gaat helemaal los voor de 9e editie van Bring Your Punker to the Bunker!

Niemand minder dan Clitteband, dé Nederlandse punkband van dit moment, staat dit keer samen met Leave Home op het podium. Mis het niet om deze bands mee te maken in de unieke sfeer die alleen de Nieuwe Anita heeft.  
En natuurlijk is onze eigen DJ Ed Rock er ook weer om de dansvloer voor en na de bands op te warmen en warm te houden.

Sinds de eerste editie in 2017 is Bring Your Punker to the Bunker een vaste instantie in de Amsterdamse punkscene en dé ontmoetingsplek voor alle Leave Home-fans. Het programma is een mix van net opgestarte en opkomende bands aan de ene kant en actuele publieksfavorieten of doorgewinterde veteranen aan de andere kant.

Tot de Punker-Bunker-alumni behoren o.a. Six Million Dollar Men, BEP, Durango, Scallwags, G.O.H., Villa Fungus, Traag, Rabid Ones en Burghers Orquestra. Naast het gelijknamige thuispodium in de Vondelbunker zijn er ook edities geweest op gastlocaties zoals de Occii, Cinetol en Moira Utrecht.

CLITTEBAND  
Plezier: plezier op het podium, in de muziek. Plezier in hun identiteit als jong, feministisch, queer, luid en alternatief; dat is wat Clitteband uitstraalt. Met een mix van energieke en creatieve punk verovert clitteband zalen over heel nederland. Schreeuwen, stampen, kloten, terugduwen en grenzen verbreden; Clitteband `broedt vanuit oude punk, maar is niet bang om te vernieuwen.

LEAVE HOME  
is een Amsterdamse punkrockband, met – zoals hun naam al doet vermoeden – de Ramones als hun belangrijkste inspiratiebron. Meer dan 10 jaar geleden begonnen als Ramones-coverband, nu met een eigen repertoire. Beïnvloed door bands als Screeching Weasel, the Spits en Teenage Bottlerocket. Ze staan voor no nonsense 70’s punkrock: korte, pakkende nummers die in je kop gaan zitten.  
Leave Home speelt voornamelijk in het Amsterdamse club- en festivalcircuit met af en toe een uitstapje naar het buitenland. Ook organiseren ze hun eigen jaarlijkse DIY-punkrockfestival Bring Your Punker to the Bunker.  
In 2016 brachten ze een 4-track EP uit -met hun hit “Bonobo Beach”-, opgenomen en geproduceerd door Henk Jonker van Hallo Venray. Komende winter gaan ze de studio in voor een volledig album.  
De line-up, net zo basic als de muziek, is: Jens – drums, Phil – zang en bas, Vin – gitaar en zang.

De Nieuwe Anita is a place where artists of all colors can live their dream, a relatively small stage for starting or touring musicians, try-outs, stand up comedians, film screenings, literary nights or lectures, we provide a cosy atmosphere and a great audience.

Although we try to keep an alternative profile, we are a well known venue throughout the city and beyond.

The fact that more and more little places like this end up closing makes it even more relevant to stay active and creative.

We started Nieuwe Anita basically in 2001, with literally underground parties in the back area. In 2005 we got the chance to rent the front bar, this made it possible to organise even more events, big and small, and more frequently.

The goal of Anita is to be a safe haven for all, musicians, artists, but also visitors of all nationalities and genders.
