Volle agenda’s. Hete zomers. Digitale aanbidders. Het Verbondt verpakt zulke hedendaagse onderwerpen in vrolijke Nederlandstalige popnummers met vleugjes funk en rock waar nodig. Nederpop in de geest van onder meer De Dijk. De band schopte het in het najaar van 2024 tot de halve finale van tv-programma Holland’s Got Talent, waar de single Onder De Plak goed ontvangen werd. 3voor12 Noord-Holland omschrijft de muziek en live show van de band als ‘catchy, energiek en feestelijk’. En laat dat nu precies zijn wat Het Verbondt voor ogen heeft.

SIPKE

is een zelfstandige Nederlandstalige rock-pop act die zingt over twijfels en optimisme. Met zijn act fleurt hij de boel op, en laat hij je meezingen over herkenbare obstakels waar zelfs Google nog geen antwoord op heeft. Denk aan Racoon als die samen zouden schrijven met Foo Fighters. Sipke staat al in poppodia als Patronaat en speelde al tijdens ESNS 2024 en 2025.

Every week for the last 18 years, Anita has presented a movie night called Cinemanita. Hosted and programmed by the eccentric Jeffrey Babcock you never know what you will see this time, but be sure it is very NOW even though most of his movies are very old.

Digging up information about the directors, actors or plots Jeffrey always makes you watch the movie with a different view and of course… with an audience the experience is so much better than on your laptop.

FIBER FACTORY
Je wekelijkse textielkunstclub in De Nieuwe Anita. Met de gedoneerde garen kan iedereen aansluiten en iets maken. Er zijn mensen die beginners kunnen begeleiden en er is gezelligheid voor de gevorderden. Ook hebben we boeken waar je inspiratie uit kunt opdoen. Meedoen is gratis, wol is gratis, naalden en pennen zijn te leen. Neem je vrienden mee.

De Poëziepodcast, die dichter Daan Doesborgh samen met SLAA maakt, is toe aan de 100e aflevering! Dat jubileum kunnen we natuurlijk niet onopgemerkt aan ons voorbij laten gaan en daarom nemen we de 100e aflevering live op in De Nieuwe Anita, op woensdag 9 april. En daar kun je bij zijn!

In De Poëziepodcast bespreekt Daan Doesborgh elke maand samen met een dichter twee gedichten: één van die dichter zelf, en één van iemand anders. Na 99 gesprekken met andere dichters, vonden we het tijd om de rollen om te draaien: in de 100e aflevering is Daan zelf te gast. Voor de gelegenheid wordt hij als interviewer en host van de podcast vervangen door niemand minder dan Ellen Deckwitz.

Bovendien nodigde Daan voor deze avond twee favoriete dichters uit die hij in de podcast te gast heeft gehad: Peter Verhelst en Ester Naomi Perquin. Zij dragen beiden voor. Bart de Vrees componeerde de tune voor De Poëziepodcast en verzorgt deze avond de muziek.

Daan Doesborgh is schrijver, vertaler en podcastmaker. In 2020 verscheen zijn vertaling van Ted Hughes’ bundel Kraai, die jubelend werd ontvangen. In 2024 publiceerde hij bij uitgeverij Van Oorschot de bundel Moet het zo. Sinds 2017 interviewt hij elke maand een dichter in de Poëziepodcast.

Ellen Deckwitz (1982, Deventer) is sinds ze haar entree in de letteren maakte niet te stuiten: de afgelopen jaren verschenen prijswinnende bundels (onder meer De steen vreest mij, C. Buddingh-prijs 2012), boeken over schrijven (het alom geprezen Zo word je een geweldige dichter) en de bestseller Olijven moet je leren lezen. Daarnaast presenteert ze geregeld poetry slams, won er zelf ontelbare, haalde de finale van De slimste mens, trekt de wereld over om nieuwe poëzie te ontdekken, maakt theater en schrijft daarnaast wekelijkse columns in zowel NRC Handelsblad als De Morgen. In 2022 verscheen de omnibus Eerste hulp bij poëzie. Ellen won in 2021 De Johnny, de oeuvreprijs voor podiumpoëzie. Ze was te gast in de vijfde aflevering van De Poëziepodcast van SLAA en presenteerde de audioserie Voor de liefste. Sinds 31 januari is zij Stadsdichter van Amsterdam.

Ester Naomi Perquin (1980) is schrijver, dichter en columnist. Zij volgde een schrijfopleiding in Amsterdam en werkte jarenlang als gevangenisbewaarder om dat te kunnen betalen. In 2007 debuteerde zij bij Uitgeverij van Oorschot met de dichtbundel Servetten halfstok. In 2009 volgde Namens de ander. Begin 2012 verscheen haar bundel Celinspecties, over het leven achter tralies. Deze bundel werd bekroond met de VSB Poëzieprijs. In 2017 verscheen haar bundel Meervoudig afwezig. Tot 2019 was ze de Nederlandse Dichter des Vaderlands. Perquin geeft workshops en masterclasses. Ze co-presenteert en programmeert De Nacht van de Poëzie in Utrecht. Haar nieuwe bundel Ongevraagd advies verscheen in 2022.

L’ORNE
The sirens from Rotterdam called L’orne sing songs straight from the ether. Reminiscing about getting lost in dreamy mossy forests, losing sight of the misty deep sea in front of you and the ever growing static inside of your head. L’orne whispers into your ear, gently singing you to sleep, just before conjuring up a storm big enough to turn your dream into a noisy nightmare.

The four-piece, visually aided by their VJ, create dynamic songs that cross between Slowcore, Noise, Postrock & Shoegaze. Leaving their listeners, as well as their live-audience in awe.

&THE
Partially rough-edged, partially intricate, &The weave songs with toil and care, like a sturdy and comforting hug or a blanket when you’re napping on the couch. Since their inception they have played a wide array of events: gardens, a museum and more regular venues, joining the stage with acts like Crywank, Hana Stretton, H_U_T._. According to 3voor12:  ‘Endearing’? ‘Adorable’? ‘Lovely’? … ‘heartwarming’ .

BARREN SEA
Geworteld in folk, met dreampop- en shoegaze-invloeden: Barren Sea is een alternatieve rockband die ernaar streeft de tegenstellingen van liefde, nostalgie, verdriet en dankbaarheid die aanwezig zijn in het dagelijks leven over te brengen. De emotionele teksten van Marie van der Zalm worden gecontrasteerd met de vervormde en afstandelijke gitaar van Lorenzo Bissi, en ondersteund door de funky, volle baslijnen van Pascal van Luit en het dynamische, explosieve drumwerk van Andrew Keys.

De Nieuwe Anita is a place where artists of all colors can live their dream, a relatively small stage for starting or touring musicians, try-outs, stand up comedians, film screenings, literary nights or lectures, we provide a cosy atmosphere and a great audience.

Although we try to keep an alternative profile, we are a well known venue throughout the city and beyond.

The fact that more and more little places like this end up closing makes it even more relevant to stay active and creative.

We started Nieuwe Anita basically in 2001, with literally underground parties in the back area. In 2005 we got the chance to rent the front bar, this made it possible to organise even more events, big and small, and more frequently.

The goal of Anita is to be a safe haven for all, musicians, artists, but also visitors of all nationalities and genders.
