De avond wordt gecureerd door Jeroen en gepresenteerd door Bram. De line-up bestaat uit: Leadbeaters, Uinko Eerenstein en Panter.

Uinko Eerenstein is een singer-songwriter uit Amsterdam, maar van oorsprong een Drent. Je zou hem kunnen kennen van het spelen in vele steden en dorpen, een tourtje met Lucky Fonz III en zijn optreden in de Subroutine showcase van afgelopen Eurosonic. Nu schijnt Uinko ook in Groningen gestudeerd te hebben, maar goed, welke Nederlandse singer-songwriter niet?

Leadbeaters are an Amsterdam based string band w/ fiddle. Mixed grill of oldtimey trads, blues, folk, cajun, bluegrass and shit. In a rowdy fashion.

Hallo Venray is een gerespecteerde naam binnen de alternatieve muziekscene, gewaardeerd om zowel hun muzikale innovatie als hun authentieke benadering. Hun geluid is herkenbaar atmosferisch en soms bijna hypnotisch, met invloeden variërend van alternatieve rock tot psychedelische sferen.

Dixi is een indie glam band uit Amsterdam. Hun muziek haalt inspiratie uit de heropleving van garage rock uit de jaren 2000, samengesmolten met elementen van jaren ’80 rock en hedendaagse pop.  Hun muziek is te herkennen aan keiharde baslijnen, aanstekelijke melodieën, meeschreeuwbare hooks en razende drums.  Deze 4-koppige band creëert iets magisch waar je bij wil zijn. Hailing from Amsterdam, Dusty Stray features the alt-folk repertoire of Texan expat Jonathan Brown. He delves into universal themes of heartbreak, loneliness and death with a twisted sense of humor and a soothing touch. The songs are firmly rooted in folk and Americana (due to Brown’s Texan upbringing and musicianship) but always reach out to new horizons, be they through toy instrument accompaniment, electronica, space echoes or outsider art. Every week for the last 18 years, Anita has presented a movie night called Cinemanita. Hosted and programmed by the eccentric Jeffrey Babcock you never know what you will see this time, but be sure it is very NOW even though most of his movies are very old.

FIBER FACTORY
Je wekelijkse textielkunstclub in De Nieuwe Anita. Met de gedoneerde garen kan iedereen aansluiten en iets maken. Er zijn mensen die beginners kunnen begeleiden en er is gezelligheid voor de gevorderden. Ook hebben we boeken waar je inspiratie uit kunt opdoen. Meedoen is gratis, wol is gratis, naalden en pennen zijn te leen. Neem je vrienden mee.

Literanita is terug! Sjaak Kwadraat brengt elke laatste donderdag van de maand weer een nieuwe lading geprogrammeerde muziek, poëzie, spoken word, theater en performance naar de kelder van de nieuwe Anita.

De avond wordt gepresenteerd door Tijdelijke Toon, de schade bedraagt een donatie tussen de 5,- en de 15,- euro. Om 20:00 openen de deuren en om 20:30 gaat het programma van start!

Angie Schaeffer is an enigmatic presence—a muse, a force, a mystical figure whose voice is conveyed through four musicians: Jérémy Michel (modular synthesizer), Ofer Smilansky (synths and effects), Yannick Dupont (drums), and Ruben Orio (percussion and effects). Together, they shape the visions and revelations Angie bestows upon them, translating her burdens and fears into sound.

De Nieuwe Anita is a place where artists of all colors can live their dream, a relatively small stage for starting or touring musicians, try-outs, stand up comedians, film screenings, literary nights or lectures, we provide a cosy atmosphere and a great audience.

Although we try to keep an alternative profile, we are a well known venue throughout the city and beyond.

The fact that more and more little places like this end up closing makes it even more relevant to stay active and creative.

We started Nieuwe Anita basically in 2001, with literally underground parties in the back area. In 2005 we got the chance to rent the front bar, this made it possible to organise even more events, big and small, and more frequently.

The goal of Anita is to be a safe haven for all, musicians, artists, but also visitors of all nationalities and genders.
