With the exhibition In Brilliant Light, Wereldmuseum Leiden gives a platform to contemporary art from Africa A dynamic dialogue between the present and the recent past, the exhibition celebrates the richness and diversity of art from Africa and the diaspora. Immerse yourself in the diverse lifeworlds of artists and how they are influenced by the past in the present. Guest curator Azu Nwagbogu put together the exhibition by complementing masterpieces from the museum's collection with work by contemporary artists, and in doing so, tries to provide answers to the most pressing questions of our time. The exhibition features various themes such as post-colonialism, power and spirituality. Through their work, the artists try to better understand the world around them. The route contains 8 themes within which the artists reflect through their work.
