About

Abortion is a deeply personal experience, and many women carry the emotional weight of it in silence. Guilt, grief, and isolation can linger long after the experience, making it difficult to heal. We’re launching our “A-Z of Things Women Don’t Talk About” series with a topic that is rarely spoken about: abortion. This event offers a safe and non-judgmental space for women to release those emotions, share their stories, and find connection through conversations we often keep inside. Whether you choose to speak or simply listen, you will play a vital role in this collective journey toward healing. What to Expect: The event will be guided by three compassionate health & wellness experts: - Psychotherapist Nkem L. Ijeh - Psychologist Jeannette Bolck - Holistic Process Guide Anja Wolters alongside Womanship founder Nicolette Lazarus. This section will feature a panel discussion, where the experts will offer insights into the emotional aftermath of abortion, including how to release shame, process grief, and move toward self-forgiveness. Following the panel, attendees will have the opportunity to join smaller breakout groups for more intimate conversations. These groups provide a space to reflect, share (if you choose), and connect with others who understand your journey. During the event, we will: - Explore the emotional journey after abortion—from grief and guilt to self-forgiveness and healing. - Learn from experts who offer personal stories and practical advice on how to begin the healing process. - Support each other by holding space for shared experiences, creating a sense of connection and belonging. Share more. Worry less. Whether you speak or simply listen, your presence will help foster a sense of community, allowing you to release hidden emotions and begin the journey toward healing. Breakout Groups:After the panel discussion, participants can join smaller, intimate groups led by our experts. These breakout groups are designed to provide a more personal space to share stories or simply listen and reflect. No Pressure to Share:You are welcome to participate at your own comfort level—whether you choose to speak or simply be present, your participation is valuable. Who Should Attend? This event is for women who: - Have experienced an abortion and are ready to process those emotions. - Feel burdened by guilt, shame, or grief they’re ready to release. - Want to support others by holding space or sharing their own story. - Seek to connect with others who’ve been through similar experiences and are looking for emotional support. Who This Event Is Not For: - Women currently considering the decision to have an abortion. - Those seeking medical or legal advice regarding abortion. Why Attend? - Connect in a safe space: You’ll be part of a supportive, judgment-free environment where women come together to share and heal. - Learn from health & wellness experts: Gain insights from experienced professionals who offer practical advice on processing difficult emotions. - Release hidden emotions: Explore and let go of long-held feelings like guilt, grief, and isolation, so you can move forward. - Feel supported: Whether you share or just listen, you’ll leave knowing you’re not alone.
