WEELDE FESTIVAL 24 hours, 24th of August, 2024 Weelde Festival is back and more complete than ever! The festival is returning to its original form: day and night. Experience Weelde Festival from Saturday morning till Sunday morning on the 24th of August. 24 hours of music, dancing, art, food, drinks and more. Meeting new faces, recognizing older and familiar ones and slipping away from the daily drudge. No matter if you’re staying for only the day, the night or the exact 24 hours: come party with us and discover Weelde Festival in full bloom during what looks like a neverending dream. Forever temporary This edition of Weelde Festival is titled ‘forever temporary’, to pay a tribute to all the places we’ve had to say our goodbyes to the past year and to honor the lost nightlife of Rotterdam. The concept of ‘forever temporary’ describes the way in which we thrive despite the temporary nature of our surroundings; in this case our location. Weelde had to close her doors last year in her previous form because of the current temporary permits of the terrain. While facing this challenge, Weelde still does seize every opportunity to create something special. Weelde goes on till, not the bitter, but sweet end (which we hope will never come). Being forever temporary means to us that we make the best out of every situation and still do what we love: making space for clubbing and nightlife and creating a festival you can come back to every year.
