Do whatever, whenever: read, journal, exercise, chill in the sauna, work out ideas, or do nothing at all. At night, enjoy dinner with the others, but only if you feel like it.

The Location:
The house is located in Hooghalen, Drenthe. Just cross the street and you’ll find yourself in woods and farmland 🌳
You can choose a bedroom to yourself, or share one with someone else (two single beds).
The house is spacious with two big, light living rooms, a garden, a sauna, and a cozy dinner table.

The Group:
10-12 like-minded people, all with the same intention: a weekend of rest and time for themselves, open to connect and socialize if they feel like it.
Anyone is welcome: young and old, Dutch or international. During past editions, we’ve welcomed both men and women between 23 and 68. All warm, open and fun. ❤️

What about your phone?
Detoxing from social media and endless notifications is one of the main advantages of The Getaway.
It allows you to refocus, rest and open your mind to new ideas and creativity. Therefore, we take your phone upon arrival and lock it up.
Of course, we can be reached by your friends and family for emergencies.

Sit back, and recharge by reading a book, drawing, working out ideas, journaling, making a photo album, knitting, or doing whatever you like. Of course, there's room to socialize, exchange ideas, discuss books, or play a board game - but only if you feel like it.

This event ensures you have blocked off, screen-free time in your agenda. It allows you to slow down and refocus, enhance your creativity, meet fun people, reconnect, re-energize, reflect, and make time for things you never have the time for.
