Every Sunday morning you can enjoy yoga with a view of the water at Pllek! The dynamic lessons are held outside on a wooden deck – during summer days – next to the restaurant. There is a buildup from meditation to asanas, chanting and holding on or letting go.

Each lesson is a journey inward with attention to breathwork, respecting your physical limits and finding relaxation and peace of mind in all poses. The lessons are suited for both beginners and more experienced yogi’s as teacher Bianka makes sure that everyone gets the guidance they need during the session.

Yoga mats, wooden blocks and blankets are present, bringing your own yoga mat is allowed!

Breathwork is a term for breathing exercises that can alter your state of consciousness by controlled breathing. You might even experience a natural high. This state of consciousness has a positive impact on your health through getting to know your body better and by handeling stress and tension. Through these exercises you work on strengthening your immune system and listening to your gut feeling.

Chris Wenker has been hosting these Breathwork sessions for quite a while. He founded the ‘Adem Academy’ with his vision that everyone has the capability to improve his own health. Breathing exercises are one of the simpelest ways to experience balance on a physical, mental and energetic level. With a background as a sports scientist and as a exercise physiologist in top sports, he hosts unique breath workshops.

Ervaar de kracht van koude-training & ademhalingsoefeningen.

Deze workshop staat volledig in het teken van gezondheid, vitaliteit en levensenergie. Leer hoe je op een natuurlijke manier je eigen gezondheid positief kan beïnvloeden. Ervaar hoe je met stressreductie oefeningen, adem -en een unieke ijsbad ervaring het lichaam en de geest in balans brengt. Een bijzondere avond waarbij het lichaamswerk je in sterk contact brengt met je gevoel, intuïtie, creatie kracht!

Chris heeft ruime ervaring met het verzorgen van deze Breathwork sessies. Ook richtte hij de Adem Academy op vanuit de visie dat iedereen het vermogen bezit om zelf zijn gezondheid te optimaliseren.

Voorbereiding:

- Trek gemakkelijk zittende (sportieve) kleding aan in laagjes (warmte regulatie).
- Graag zelf een flesje water en een fijn warm dekentje en een klein hoofdkussentje meenemen.
- Neem badkleding & een groot badlaken mee ook als je niet van plan bent het ijsbad in te gaan.
- Gelieve 3 uur voor de sessie niet te meer te eten en alleen water of thee te drinken.
- Ook daags van tevoren geen alcohol en/of drugs nuttigen.

Brian S. is een gerenomeerde DJ in de Amsterdamse housescene en begon met draaien in de beroemde club IT. Hij draaide eerder al in Club Air, RoXY, de Jimmy Woo en Paradiso. Ook internationaal heeft Brian S. gedraaid in steden als Cannes, Porto, New York, Barcelona en op festivals als Mysteryland, Dance Valley en de Love Parade in Berlijn.

Brian S. hostte zes jaar lang de populaire clubnacht RUSH bij de Escape en werkte samen met internationale artiesten waaronder Fedde Le Grand, Phatts & Small, Sven Väth en vele anderen.

Momenteel produceert hij zijn eerste album en verbreed hij zijn muzikale horizon door de chemie tussen het podium en de dansvloer te onderzoeken. Met zijn positieve vibes en funky grooves gaat iedereen gegarandeerd los!
