Marathon van Amersfoort

Since 1991, the Leiden Marathon has been providing runners with an unforgettable experience. With a course that takes runners through the 900-year-old city where Rembrandt was born and the Pilgrims Fathers lived, as well as nine beautiful villages in the Green Heart, the marathon offers a unique atmosphere with enthusiastic spectators, good organization, and personal attention for every participant. The 42.195 km route has a six-hour time limit, and in 2019 it hosted around 14,000 runners (1,000 of whom ran the full marathon) and two thousand walkers on the same route.
