Farewell show – Charlie & The Lesbians Regrettably, after a remarkable 8-year journey, Charlie & The Lesbians have decided to bring their musical adventure to a close. This poignant announcement was made today. However, fans of the band will have the opportunity to catch two unmissable farewell performances. Throughout their career, this quartet, hailing from Brabant, has been relentless in their mission to ignite punk dives, music venues, and festivals with their unadulterated garage and (post)punk resonance. Known for their distinct, lanquid, and fuzzy punk sound, they’ve graced renowned festivals such as Noorderslag, The Great Escape, and Ment Ljubljana over the years. Following the release of their eagerly anticipated debut album Fade in 2021 (with a memorable release show during Left of the Dial), they briefly retreated from the spotlight. Yet, despite their farewell, these punkers from Eindhoven have some surprises up their sleeves. Notably, their last performance in Rotterdam achieved legendary status when their electrifying show managed to (allegedly) temporarily shut down the entire Rotterdam power grid.
