Kingfisher Sky Plays Kate Bush - The Kick Inside Tour 2024

Kingfisher Sky has never hidden their admiration for Kate Bush! Since the band's inception, Kate Bush's body of work has been a great source of inspiration for these musicians from The Hague. After occasionally including covers of songs like Cloudbusting and Running up that Hill in their setlist, the band really wanted to dedicate an entire show to the enigmatic singer/songwriter! Of course, classics like Wuthering Heights and Running up that Hill will be performed, but other gems from her rich repertoire will also be explored! In 2001, drummer Ivar de Graaf made a bold move and left Within Temptation in the midst of the band's international breakthrough. The musician wanted to fully focus on the development of his own musical work, which couldn't be combined with Within Temptation's rising success. Together with classically trained singer Judith Rijnveld, he took all the time and peace to write compositions that are not bound to a specific genre. The result? Captivating prog metal filled with folk influences and even a touch of soul. This became the foundation of Kingfisher Sky. After its quiet start, Kingfisher Sky quickly gained momentum. The release of their debut album 'Hallway Of Dreams' was not only successful in Europe, but the band's popularity also grew in South America and Japan. Kingfisher Sky now has four high-quality albums and five EPs to their name.
