Break A Leg’s mission is to unite dancers and promote hiphop dance culture. Break A Leg has grown over the last years into an international dance event, with performances, crew competitions, battles, workshops, DJ’s, live art and panel discussions. Sunday March 31st 2024 More than 1,000 hip-hop dancers will compete against each other on March 31 during the 13th edition of the street style dance event Break A Leg in Meervaart. The best hip-hop dancers and crews battle from early in the morning until late at night. The focus of the festival is not only on the competition element, but also on the social aspect, sharing knowledge and, above all, good dancing. For example, you can participate in various free dance workshops, there are DJs in the foyer all day long and you can also enjoy dancing here. Want to participate in the competition? Exhibition 50 years of Hiphop by maam Fifty years ago, hip-hop emerged as a cultural movement in the South Bronx, New York City. In 50 years, hip hop has become one of the largest music genres in the world. The 50th anniversary of hip hop is being celebrated all over the world. This exhibition by Marco van Bijsteren (maam) is a tribute to some of our musical hip-hop heroes.
