Live baroque mu­sic, An­i­ma­tron­ics, An­i­ma­tions, Video Work, Drag, Elec­tronic Sound­scapes, Dj set. It’s like every­thing in one won­der­ful room! Wondermuziekkamer is a fictional ‘chamber of curiosities’ in the form of a live performance. Animatronics, animations, videos, drag performances, live baroque music and recorded electronic soundscapes are presented as parts of the collection. During the performance, each of these collectables narrate their story of origin as well as the story of their collector. The event is a contemporary adaptation of the cabinet of curiosities: In the baroque times in Europe, a socialite, vastly supported by the wealth created by colonization, slavery and international trade, would obsessively collect and exhibit objects - These objects would grant the appearance of knowledge, social status and at the same time inspire awe in their peers. On Wednesday, 6th of December our collection will come alive in the warming space of Sexyland.
