Morgan Jay, muzikant en comedian, heeft inmiddels optredens bij MTV’s Wild’N’Out, NBC en Comedy Central op zijn CV staan. Inmiddels heeft hij een eigen genre ontwikkeld met zijn performance stijl, gebaseerd op imperfectie, authenticiteit, herkenbaarheid en verbinding. Met comedy van wereldniveau sleepte hij meerdere awards en optredens op prestigieuze festivals in de wacht.

Door zijn ervaring in de stand-up, RnB en Bossa Nova is hij een meester in het maken van gevatte liedjes, vermengd met comedybits die meestal gaan over liefde, relaties en dating. Op hilarische wijze verweeft hij de verhalen van het publiek in zijn act. Op social media heeft hij miljoenen volgers, waardoor tickets voor zijn Europese tour ook over de toonbank vlogen. Inmiddels heeft Morgan Jay twee comedyspecials op YouTube staan en maakte hij drie comedy-albums.

Filmmaker Lucas van Woerkum creëert stille films geïnspireerd op klassieke muziek. In 'The Echo of Being' verweeft hij delen uit Mahlers 'Tweede', 'Vierde', 'Achtste', 'Negende' en 'Tiende symfonie' met een filmisch verhaal over Gustav en Alma Mahler en hun dochter Maria. Hoofdrollen zijn weggelegd voor Amira Casar ('Call Me by Your Name') en Greg Wise ('The Crown'). De muziek is georkestreerd door componist Thomas Beijer en wordt live gespeeld door het New European Ensemble. Van Woerkum synchroniseert de film live vanaf het podium, waardoor muziek en beeld een unieke symbiose vormen.

De film verkent het stervensproces van dochter Maria door de ogen van de drie familieleden. Hun pijn en verlies, maar vooral hun liefde voor natuur, leven en het onbekende, staan centraal. De reis naar het hiernamaals, gezien door de stervende dochter, wordt gevisualiseerd met fractale animaties op basis van de muzikale structuur. Van Woerkum synchroniseert de film live vanuit het orkest, waardoor muziek en beeld een unieke symbiose vormen.
