Ali Millar woonde in de grachtengordel begin jaren 2000: ze is bekend om haar compromisloze boeken - Ada, Anna, Ava en The Last Days - waarin ze haar periode hier bespreekt.

Jeff Young woonde begin jaren tachtig in de Amsterdamse kraakscene, een tijd die hij op uitmuntende wijze vastlegt in zijn nieuwste boek, Wild Twin.

Richard Foster woont sinds 2000 in Leiden en werkt in R_tterd_m. Zijn boeken, _Flower Factor_y en The Punk Rock Birdwatching Club, beschrijven de counterculture van de Bollenstreek en Randstad in de vroege jaren 2000.
