<strong>Journey through the darkness in an overwhelming music theatre performance.</strong> ALL US DADA is a like a trip through the darkness, written and spoken by Gerindo Kartadinata, merged with the immersive music of Gerri Jäger. ALL US DADA is a rant. An invocation. An extensive effort to keep sane in the destructive and contradictory reality we live in. Torn apart between rejection, ignorance, apathy and resistance, floating in an absurd world, in which exploitation is a ruling force and constant cognitive dissonance leads to the acceptance of abuse. ALL US DADA integrates critics on the economic system, with the necessity to overcome the alienation from nature and its destruction. Gerindo Kartadinata is a German-Indonesian theatre maker, actor and teacher, who lives in Amsterdam. He worked with many different theatre groups and makers, including Lotte van den Berg, Bambie, Davy Pieters, Via Berlin, Golden Palace, and Ulrike Quade. He gives acting trainings for musicians at Oorkaan and at The Conservatorium Amsterdam. Gerri Jäger is the drummer behind bands such as Knalpot and STUG. He mixes drums with percussion and electronics, and he has performed with, among others, Colin Stetson, Manu Delago, and Fred Frith. After two years of intense work and preparation, tonight will be the première of this project.
