Chicago quartet Deeper are bringing their mix of jagged post-punk and sophisticated indie-rock back to the VERA Mainstage, after being chosen as the best support in the VERA poll of 2020. Their newest album, Careful!, was released in 2023, reimagining their sound, testing their musical limits. There are synth experiments, there are moments of nauseatingly powerful darkwave and coldbeat. There are massive rock’n’roll songs that you can imagine 10,000 people singing along to in some beautiful outdoor setting. There’s even some hints of pop inside some of the tracks, although the former, familiar sound of Deeper hasn’t been lost along the way. One of The Netherlands’ most intense noise rock trio’s has changed its name but not its identity. Support Texoprint (formerly known as Kalaallit Nunaat) is a factory specialized in producing noise at the highest level. They’ve just released their third EP Mumble and is ready to start their busiest festival summer yet, including performances at Supersonic’s Block Party in Paris and the Netherlands’ renowned Best Kept Secret festival, alongside many more shows across Europe.
