Paper Tape is a Rotterdam based platform and curated live event promotion organisation. Showcasing and highlighting the best and the most unique artists from around the world. We aim to provide artists that have broken ground in their individual artistic pursuits and that have continued to push the boundaries of musical endeavor.

For our next Event, we bring you a line up of International D&B Excellence. 2 of the UK’s finest will be touching down in Rotterdam for a night of Jungalistic quality and D&B bangers. 

LOXY

Emerging through pirate stations such as Eruption FM and Underground FM, resident at seminal London raves such as Desire and Thunder & Joy, Loxy has been a formidable force in jungle drum & bass since the very beginning.

The north London DJ’s reputation was galvanised in the mid 90s as he became an integral part of two UK D&B institutions; Metalheadz and Renegade Hardware. Resident at both label’s events – at cult venues such as Blue Note and The End – his ability to draw for darker, heavier dubplates than any of his peers was at the heart of the genre and culture’s acceleration.

ZERO T

With his first release in 1999, London based Dubliner Cian McCann has long since

established his place in the scene. From his early days in Ireland with the Bassbin label, to

working with the likes of Goldie, Calibre, 4 Hero, Alix Perez, Icicle and Noisia, he has never

stood still.

2008’s Cheap Shots LP for Total Science’s CIA Records was a high point, with the lead track

“Walk Away” bringing fellow Dubliner Steo to the world’s attention.

Also noted as a prolific remixer, Zero T has retouched tracks by artists like Dillinja, Slam,
Goldie, Lemon D, Lenzman and Lenny Fontana.

Zero T’s discography reflects the diversity that his DJ sets have always shown, ranging from
full vocal smoothness to more dance floor styles.

You are as likely to find his music on labels like Metalheadz and Shogun as on Soul:r or
Signature.

CHRIS INPERSPECTIVE

Known for the challenging style of experimental D&B and Jungle, Chris came to prominence as an outspoken and diverse DJ that is not afraid to take chances in his sets. Founder of the now legendary Inperspective Records, his mission continues to push the boundaries of what D&B and Jungle can be, be it through his own productions or through the artists and labels he supports and represents.

DART

A versatile MC, host, DJ & Producer of jungle & Drum and Bass, Dart has performed alongside most of the big names in hardcore, drum & bass and UK Garage at festivals and events throughout the Netherlands and abroad for over 25 years. 

Dart made a name for himself in the Dutch gabber scene as one half of the Dark Twins, performing at legendary Megarave events throughout the ’90s and early ’00s. 

Dart is also an Old School jungle DJ and producer with a Solo EP forthcoming on PRSPCT Recordings and released tracks on Cat In the Bag Records.

The inimitable Passion DEEZ is best known as a DJ who crafts an alchemy of bass-centric sounds, ranging from 2-step and dark garage to instrumental grime and jungle. With over 10+ years of experience broadcasting on community and pirate radio, Passion DEEZ is committed to creating sustainable spaces to showcase his ideas and influences. Whether he’s infusing Pop vocals to make fringe club sounds more accessible, delving into pseudo-nostalgia to unite diverse spaces, or curating events with a strong focus on inclusivity and representation, Passion DEEZ is on a mission. Born in Zimbabwe, raised in London, and currently based in Amsterdam, he is a product of his environment, and through music, he weaves a narrative that is uniquely his own.

Mac-V
When it comes to his DJ sets, MAC-V draws a wide palette of obscure music ranging from crispy Jungle to gritty Drumfunk, deep Tribal, Drum and Bass and more. His style traverses a spectrum that shifts from the irie and the dark to the deep and lusher vibes. Crossing genres with ease, MAC-V knows how to come correct and give the listener something they didn’t know they needed and surely won’t ever forget…

Papertape presents at OT301 is a new curated event showcasing and highlighting the best and the most unique artists from around the world. We aim to provide artists that have broken ground in their individual artistic Pursuits and that have continued to push the boundaries of musical Endeavour. 

Starting this September we hope you join us for the inaugural event. A journey into musical, visual and experimental exploration with a exclusive, extended set Techno, House, Electro and More by the one and only Boddika. 

Boddika’s arrival in 2010 had shaken the scene to its very core, slamming down with a raw take on things that made all who heard his music scramble for the right genre tag. Is it electro? Techno? Old? New? Harking the expansive sounds of Luke Vibert, the analogue programming of Juan Atkins early work, and the rawness of the Drexciya/Dopplereffekt family, Boddika is the now legendary project of Al Green, 1/2 of the boundary-pushing duo that’s re-written the rules completely, Instra:mental. “Boddika is inspired by Machine Music. His influences draw from old school electro beats from hip hop and then Detroit electro producers such as Drexciya and Aux88. But he's always had a keen interest in Chicago House and Detroit Techno, as well as 90's & 80's Dance and Electronica, like AFX, Autechre, Lisa Lisa Cult Jam and Prince. 

His work has seen Naked Lunch, Swamp 81, Sunklo and his own Non Plus imprints release his raw unadulterated analogue based sound. He has received and garnered support from DJs across the board – including Skream, Loefah, Oneman, Stingray, Martyn, Ramadanman, Joy Orbison, Scuba, Shy FX, Benji B, Addison Groove and Zed Bias.

VENISON 
Chris Inperspective has had a career in Jungle and D&B that spans over 25 years. His love of Techno has always been evident in the development of his sound. With the creation of Inperspective Records sister label Heresy Beats, the decision was made to delve into the 130 to 140 BPM Universe. 
In 2023 with his relocation to Rotterdamn after finding the love of his life and with renewed motivation, the VENISON alias has returned and this has provided an abundance of new, never heard before music that he is excited to share with the good people of Amsterdam for the first time ever..
