Inspired by the amazing Slimelight London, SpaceBunker is a club-night made for and by alternative youth, to form a sense of connectedness amongst various scenes. I started this club event by myself in 2023 in the almighty Vondelbunker. , It’s purpose is to introduce and swallow you up into different realms of the gloomy electronic underground scene. While it does not have a strict genre, the main theme is anything dark and melancholic, with a gothic undertone. This is where EBM, cold-wave, dark techno, aggrotech, witchhouse, synth-pop, dark-italo and everything in between come together to create an unforgettable hypnotising experience. Legend has it, our crowds are always best dressed. And we love living up to this name every time l, so don’t be shy if one of our personal photographers takes individual pictures of you, we just want a reminder that we dress to impress in this bunker. As we want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. The night of the 28th we start off at 21:00 with the band IDLΞYES, an upcoming glitter goth band from the heart of Amsterdam. Founded in the back of an Amsterdam tram, this platonic throuple combines cutting-edge visuals with an exciting take on modern dark music. Founded out of a mutual love for the Japanese and London alternative scenes by LAMIA.NN and ARTEMIS, the duo recruited guitarist H!D to add an all-American flair. IDLEYES combines goth, trip hop, industrial and glam influences into a mix that’s intense, dark and danceable, Found in 2012 the band Lifeless Past will start playing at 21:45. Known to blend darkwave, postpunk, garage and goth-rock to create a unique dark musical landscape. The band consists of Satori (guitars, drumbeats and vocals) together with Brandon on percussions. Both members are currently living in the Netherlands but they are born and raised on the island of Curaçao. The group’s unparalleled approach to postpunk music is characterized by it’s steady and energetic drums, cascading melodic guitars, tantric basslines and bone chilling dark vocals. And lastly to finish off the band performances of the night, at 22:30 Kill the Sleeper will play 1 hour of aggressive clubby aggrotech. Hitting the scene like a whirlwind in 2012. The self proclaimed best aggrotech band in Sweden has been described as “two prettyboys who got lost on their way to the beach and somehow ended up on stage and decided to tear it up”. During the pandemic they took a break, but have now decided to resurrect. Harsher than ever, they promise to put on an unforgettable show. After the bands finish, the DJs will turn the place into a dystopian clubnight. At 23:30 Rotterdam based CVPID, founder of Spacebunker, will lure you back to the dancefloor from your smoking break with gloomy electronic tunes. She started her growing interest behind the decks, and the urge to create a dark clubnight with a growing alt community after her involvement with the gothic scene, which has slowly been dying down amongst young people. SpaceBunker is made with the idea, of being fuel to keeping the alternative subcultures alive in NL. Expect up-tempo EBM, catchy electronic melodies and goth club vibes. Lastly DJ & producer STUGATS will takeover the decks with hard-techno tracks at 00:15. Known to be boundary-pushing and embrace the intensity of gabber. With a unique style that blends dark atmospheres, hard driving kicks, and vocals that push the limits, STUGATS captivates audiences seeking non-mainstream music. Starting in 2016, he explored genres like 4x4, bassline, and garage before finding his true love in techno. In 2018, he established the influential distribution label SFIGATIRECORDS, releasing music that challenges norms.
