Social Dutch 1 (Beginner - A1 Level) This introductory course is ideal for those who are just starting to learn Dutch. By the end of the course, you will be able to introduce yourself, ask for and provide basic information such as time and directions, and hold simple conversations about daily topics like food, drinks, and shopping. You will learn: • Numbers, days, months, and colors • Basic vocabulary related to food, the house, and daily life • Basic grammar, including sentence structure, verb conjugation in the present tense, negation, and question formation Social Dutch 2 (Elementary - A1 Level) Building on the basics, this course will expand your vocabulary and communication skills for more practical situations, such as asking for directions, describing appearances, and ordering food in a restaurant. You will learn: • Vocabulary related to transportation, clothing, and eating out • Key grammatical concepts, including inversion, modal auxiliary verbs, and an introduction to the past tense Social Dutch 3 (Pre-intermediate - Moving Towards A2) This course is designed for those who have a basic understanding of Dutch and want to improve their ability to navigate daily tasks such as shopping, sending packages, and opening a bank account. You'll also learn how to communicate effectively in healthcare settings and talk about personal matters. You will learn: • Vocabulary for buying, selling, sending mail, and discussing health • Grammar related to past tense, conjunctions, and the use of 'te' Social Dutch 4 (Intermediate - A2 Level) The final course in the series prepares you for more advanced conversations, such as discussing education, work, and cultural activities. You will also learn to write emails, read news reports, and express your opinions about various topics. You will learn: • Vocabulary related to education, work, and cultural activities • Grammar concepts, including the future tense, separable verbs, and adjectives Course Details: • Social Dutch 1: Starts on Oktober 30 (Wednesdays) • Social Dutch 2: Starts on Oktober 31 (Thursdays) • Social Dutch 3: Starts on Oktober 29 (Tuesdays) • Social Dutch 4: Starts on Oktober 28 (Mondays) By the end of each course, you'll be better equipped to communicate in Dutch, and after completing Social Dutch 4, you can even take a test to see if you've reached level A2, which is a stepping stone to more advanced language courses. All courses emphasize practical communication over grammar, ensuring that you can use what you've learned in real-life situations.
