Welkom bij Ecstatic Dance Oosterhout in de Cultuurmakerij!
Deze keer dansen we samen met de oprichter van Ecstatic Dance in Nederland DJ Shanto.

DJ MARTYN ZIJ
Martyn Zij developed an unique taste for different music genres from all over the world, diverse but with a similar characteristic - music which gives space, excites trance and imagination but also ensures a presence in the “here and now”. His sound ranges from grounding bass & beats, tribal grooves to a more meditative and lyrical vibe. These he brings together in a funky and soul-full way touching the heart of the dancer and listener. As might be expected of a (ceremonial) musician he is guided by the energy on the dance floor, and is not afraid of unexpected surprises and twists in his DJ sets.

One of the reasons to find his passion for deejay-ing was the discovery of Ecstatic Dance. Suddenly it became clear that all the music Martyn loves so much easily can come together in a set for this special phenomenon. At the end of 2013 Martyn became and is still one of the resident-deejays of Ecstatic Dance Amsterdam. From then on Martyn also got invited by diverse Ecstatic Dance Tribes in Netherlands and Europe. He loves to share the music, the dance and the joy with these communities and gets inspired by the different vibes of the unique happening every Ecstatic Dance is.

After a few years deejaying Martyn started to combine his skills as a producer/musician with his experience as a deejay. He uses his studioskills to remix and rework different music from all of the world so they become “dance floor” friendly and he can include them in his deejay-sets. Next to these remixes he is also working on his own compositions and songs to spread and share his unique deep funky and heartwarming sound all over the world.

Ecstatic Dance is een vrije dans, waarin je je kunt bewegen zoals jij dat graag wilt, alleen of samen. De dansvloer is vrij van stimulerende middelen zoals alcohol en drugs. Er is gratis water en thee. Je danst op blote voeten of dansschoentjes en telefoons zijn uit.

ECSTATIC DANCE OOSTERHOUT

Dans zoals je je voelt. Dans zoals je bent. Zonder oordeel en zonder gêne. Wij nodigen je uit om op de dansvloer je verwachtingen los te laten, en er met volle overgave te zijn. Om in verbinding te komen met jezelf en met de anderen. Om bij jezelf thuis te komen en je lichaam volledig te voelen. Om heerlijk vrij te dansen.

Heb je zin om je mee te laten voeren op een muzikale dansreis? Om vanuit je hart te bewegen en niet vanuit je hoofd? Om helemaal bij jezelf te komen? Om even alles los te laten en ontzettend uitbundig te dansen? Woest of ingetogen – als een grote wervelwind, of met kleine accenten. Om in verbinding te komen met anderen, die dezelfde behoefte hebben? In een veilige sfeer, waar iedereen zichzelf mag zijn? En om lekker te zweten? Kom dan naar Ecstatic Dance Culemborg!

Vereisten? Een lichaam en zin om te dansen! (Iedereen is welkom.)

Voor 2 uur lang dansen we op blote voeten. We communiceren via ons lichaam (dus praten niet op de dansvloer). We blijven nuchter (dus geen drank of drugs). Dit alles zal je helpen dieper in je lichaam af te dalen, en eerlijker en meer geaard op de dansvloer te staan.

We beginnen de avond met een inleidingsceremonie van Natascha van Achterbergh – die jarenlange ervaring heeft met dans, lichaamswerk en meditatie. Op een organische manier helpt ze ons uit het hoofd te komen, en in ons lichaam te stappen. Hierna neemt DJ Martyn Zij ons mee op dansavontuur. We sluiten de avond gezamenlijk af. Wie wil, kan nog even blijven voor een kopje thee en wat fruit. In stilte of met een babbeltje.

20:00 - Ecstatic Dance muziekreis begeleidt door DJ Sefrijn
22:00 - gezamenlijke afsluiting met fruit en thee
*Neem je eigen drinkbeker of flesje mee (geen glas), zodat je deze tijdens de avond kan bijvullen met thee of water

Welcome to Ecstatic Dance Roermond with DJ Jethro

Ecstatic Dance is a free form of dance-workout, very pure and simple and therefore so powerful and transforming. To create a save and sacred environment we follow a few basic but important guidelines.

We commit ourselves to:
* No speaking or communicating in spoken language, the entire space is a non-speaking area,
* We dance and move barefoot in our own unique way,
* We come and stay free from alcohol/drugs or other stimulating/narcotic substances,
* Phones/camera's or other distractions are not allowed until the end of the closing-circle.

Please note that the door will be locked at 19.30, so be on time!
20.00 Start Ecstatic Dance
22.00 Closing-circle

Practical:
* Wear layers of comfortable clothes in which you can move freely, take into account that you will sweat and take care of good hygiene,
* Returning tickets once purchased is not possible. No refunds will be made unless the event is canceled by the organization,
* Leave your valuables at home as much as possible. We keep the dancefloor free from personal belongings so that we can literally leave the worries and distractions of everyday life outside the room,
* We do our very best to guarantee your safety, but we would like to point out that participation is entirely at your own risk.
* We will serve a limited amount of organic tea and water, please bring your own water bottle!

Location:
We dance at the beautiful Ursulakapel in Roermond. A very unique venue with beautiful high ceilings, stained glass windows and a lovely wooden dancefloor that definitely adds up to the Ecstatic Dance experience. The location is at walking distance from the trainstation (8 min). You can park your car at Wilhelminaplein (6041 CE Roermond), payed parking only till 20.00h. As always we encourage carpooling.

Friday 27/10 we have invited DJ Socrates to bring his unique sound to the Khulana community.

Every time we experienced a DJ set from him we were excited by the music played; funky, delicious and unique tracks composed into a journey of melody and wonder and contagious rhythms.

We are super exited DJ Socrates will make us move to the groove at this Khulana ceremony !

Before we dive into the Ecstatic Dance journey we will drink a very pure and powerful cacao together in a ceremonial setting with live music. We ask an additional donation (€5,-) for this beautiful and medicinal potion we imported from the Dominican Republic.

After the cacao, Laurentiu Soarece will take us into a half hour contact improvisation session.

From here we dive into the Ecstatic Dance with DJ Socrates.

De zondagochtend is een heerlijke moment van de dag om te dansen en wij nodigen je uit. Het is het juiste moment om je puurheid te ervaren in je dans.

Met DJ Saryo en Eva aan de knoppen wordt je, op de klanken van fijne muziek, meegenomen naar ongekende hoogtes. Iedere zondag ben je dus welkom bij ECSTATIC DANCE DELFT. Jong, oud, licht en levendig of wat stijf in je botten, er is voor iedereen een plekje.

Ecstatic Dance is extatisch, speels, geweldig, verbindend, meenemend, naar buiten en binnen, zacht en wild en het brengt je diep naar binnen. De ruimte waar je in danst doet de rest.

Ecstatic Dance is een vrije vorm waarin je je eigen pad kiest om te dansen. In het begin van de dans is er de openingsceremonie en korte begeleiding wat je dichter in contact brengt met je lijf, daarna mag je je eigen dans dansen. je kunt dit soms in contact doen of alleen, je volgt helemaal je eigen flow. Een geweldig moment en manier om op de zondagochtend wakker te worden. Het is een dans zonder worden, zonder vaste pasjes en op blote voeten.

Het is heel puur en eenvoudig en daarom zo krachtig en transformerend. Twee uur lang intens en gepassioneerd dansen op de inspirerende muziek van DJ Kareem Raïhani ♥ en soms wisselend met Gast DJ’s

Ecstatic Dance is een “bewuste” vrije vorm dans. Iedereen kan deze dans dansen en iedereen is welkom.
Dans en beweeg in alle vrijheid zoals jij dat graag doet. Jij maakt je eigen dans op jouw unieke manier.

Om de Ecstatic Dance ervaring mogelijk te maken zijn er een aantal basis regels.

Tijdens het dansen wordt niet gepraat. Geluid maken mag wel.
Respecteer jezelf, de ander en diens ruimte om te dansen.
Dansen op blote voeten.
Geen alcohol, drugs, sterke geurtjes.
Je mag in je eentje dansen en/of met één of meerdere danspartners.
Wil je samen met iemand dansen, benader die persoon dan met respect. Stel jezelf de vraag: ‘Staat hij (zij) er open voor?’ Spiegel de beweging van die danser, maak oogcontact of biedt een hand aan. Zie en voel de reactie.

Wanneer je alleen wenst (verder) te dansen, breng dan je handen samen voor je hart en bedank de ander door te groeten met een knikkend gebaar.

Fotograferen en filmen zijn niet toegestaan. Telefoons niet toegestaan in de dansruimte.
