About Drinks, Pitches & Demos:
#DPD is for everyone who likes to present or share an idea or just meet nice people. The group meets the first Wednesday of the month, from 17:00-19:00, changing Brainport hotspot locations from High Tech Campus Eindhoven (Technology) to Microlab Strijp-S (Design) to Innovation Space TUe (Science) in The Netherlands.

And now we extend our network to include West-NL: Technology Park Ypenburg, The Hague.

PNA Group Jaarlijkse iKnow-dag

De dag waarop geinteresseerden, gebruikers én makers van de iKnow suite elkaar treffen om ervaringen uit te wisselen. 
Gebruikers presenteren wat ze met iKnow in de praktijk hebben gedaan, we tonen welke nieuwe features er komend jaar aankomen en er is veel ruimte in het programma om input te geven voor de komende ontwikkelingen. 

iKnow is PNA's suite met diverse kennismodelleer modules waarin processen, data, regels en semantiek in relatie tot elkaar worden vastgelegd, inclusief de verantwoording naar brondocumenten als beleidsstukken of wet- en regelgeving. 

Het programma is opgesteld voor zowel geinteresseerden die graag kennis willen maken met iKnow als doorgewinterde iKnow gebruikers.

Naast use cases van klanten komen nieuwe features aan bod.

iKnow-dag 2024

Just like a mini-safari around your office, you set out discovering nature and wildlife during your lunch break.

The High Tech Campus is not just the smartest square kilometre in Europe. The Campus is also a living landscape, full of wildlife hidden in plain sight.

Nuno Curado, an enthusiastic urban wildlife ecologist, will take you on a short discovery tour in search of the wild animals and plants that also call the Campus their home!

Wild Break is an opportunity to really disconnect from work, to stretch your legs and focus on wildlife.

No special equipment or clothes are needed. Just meet us at 12:00 sharp at the Food Lab (food trucks) next to the lake.

There are limited places (15 people per Wild Break). So, make sure to register soon to spend this Tuesday lunch break with nature.

The AI Summit Brainport 2024 will take place on Thursday 7th of November, at the Evoluon in Eindhoven. For the 2024 edition, the theme is The Real Power of AI: Valuable & Responsible AI Systems.

This year the program will contain a new part: matchmaking. Of course, the research track, expert track and adoption track will again be part of the event, providing you with interesting AI talks and pitches.  
 

EXPERT TRACK BY THE AI INNOVATION CENTER

During the expert track, AI experts explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence, emphasizing ethics and regulatory compliance.

Morning sessions include a keynote on AI’s role in the semiconductor industry and a discussion on ensuring responsible AI with human oversight. A fireside chat addresses the need for a universal ethical framework in AI development.

The afternoon focuses on AI-human collaboration, showcasing a visionary session on AI agents’ future and interactive development activities. The program then analyzes the EU’s upcoming AI Act and its business implications.

The expert track concludes with a pitch and interview on AI for social good and sustainable computing, highlighting real-world applications and strategies to reduce AI’s environmental impact.

Voordat automatisering en AI ingezet kunnen worden, moet altijd eerst het proces kloppen. AI is namelijk geen tovermiddel maar het gaat om de 'symbiose' tussen mens, proces en techniek. Leer hoe dit zit tijdens de negende editie van de Ratho Experience Day (RED) op vrijdag 1 november 2024, op de High Tech Campus in Eindhoven!

Waarom deelnemen?
Bij de Ratho Experience Day krijg je de unieke kans om je te verdiepen in de nieuwste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van AI en hoe deze technologieën jouw werk eenvoudiger, sneller en veiliger kunnen maken. Na het succes van vorig jaar, waarin we waardevolle inzichten kregen van Maria Genova over digitale cybersecurity, duiken we dit jaar nog dieper in hoe AI en andere automatiseringstools jouw werkdag kunnen transformeren!

THIS IS A HANDS-ON WORKSHOP, PLEASE BRING YOUR LAPTOP.

The rapid speed at which Generative AI improves is promising, but at the same time raises new challenges around its safe and responsible development. Think about misuse, deepfakes, bias and harmful outputs. Challenges include some that were common before generative AI, such as bias and explainability, and new ones unique to generative models, including hallucination, toxicity, and intellectual property protection.

During this interactive session, we will dive into the challenges posed by generative AI, explore the latest scientific developments, and apply practical tools designed to mitigate these risks. Overall, a great opportunity to learn more on responsible AI and get hands-on experience!

REQUIREMENTS

Bring your laptop. You will need:

1. Comfortable with Python

2. Dev Environment – We will use SageMaker Studio, so a local setup is not required.

3. AWS knowledge – nice to have
