We like to cheers to the weekend on Thursday’s already! That’s why we spotlight one cocktail every Thursday for only €5 on these Little Friday nights!

On Thursday January 30th it’s up to the Vieux Cocktail. You can just walk in to have a cocktail, without making a reservation.

About the Vieux Cocktail

The Vieux Carré (often shortened to “Vieux”) is a sophisticated, spirit-forward cocktail originating in New Orleans. Its name translates to “Old Square,” paying homage to the French Quarter. This drink combines whisky, cognac, sweet vermouth, and herbal liqueurs, creating a rich, complex blend of flavours with a smooth and warming finish. Perfect for those who enjoy a bold and refined cocktail.

A quick cocktail recipe

✷ Fill a mixing glass with ice cubes.

✷ Add 25 ml of rye whisky, 25 ml of cognac, 25 ml of sweet vermouth, and 5 ml of Bénédictine liqueur.

✷ Add 2 dashes each of Peychaud’s bitters and Angostura bitters.

✷ Stir gently for about 20 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.

✷ Strain into a chilled rocks glass with a large ice cube.

✷ Garnish with a lemon twist for a bright citrus aroma.

✷ Serve and savour the depth of this iconic cocktail.

Little Friday – Vieux Cocktail

We’re thrilled to welcome you to the cosy living room of CASA for the third edition of Night LIVE EAST– a night filled with live music from Shary-An and delicious dining. Starting at 18:30, you’ll start a journey of flavour and sound. Chef Chris crafted a three-course diner, while live musical performances after each course elevate your dining experience.

Tickets are just €42.50 per person, which includes a three course dinner and a welcome drink. NIGHT LIVE sets the stage for great food, intimate music, and a night you won’t forget.

- Artist: Shary-An – will be performing most of her songs in Dutch

Who’s Shary-An
Shary-An Nivillac, known for her versatile and authentic pop music, blends influences from Mexican mariachi, gospel, and artists like Alicia Keys and Gloria Estefan. She gained fame in 2011 as a semi-finalist on The Voice of Holland. Her songs are deeply personal, like Peace of Mind, reflecting her personal story. Since 2022, Shary-An has focused on Dutch-language music, balancing emotional ballads with energetic, raw-edged tracks. Her live performances highlight her ability to seamlessly combine vulnerability with lively, upbeat sounds.

Bottomless Sunday Brunch

Discover the transformative power of the Wim Hof Method at the upcoming Ice Bath Event on our picturesque rooftop GAPP. Under the expert guidance of Movement Amsterdam, you will delve into the three pillars of the method: breathwork, cold exposure, and commitment. Experience the benefits of optimizing your body and mind through controlled exposure to cold and oxygen.

What to expect:
The program starts with an informative introduction inside Hotel Casa, followed by a breath work session and eventually (the option to take part in) an ice bath. You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the three pillars of the Wim Hof Method and learn practical techniques to integrate the method into your daily life. After the workshop, lunch will be provided, fostering a chance to connect with fellow participants.

Preparation:
For those new to cold exposure, we recommend gradually incorporating cold showers in the days leading up to the event. This will help you become acclimated and embrace the sensation. Participants should possess a basic level of health, while pregnant individuals and those with epilepsy are advised not to partake. If you have any pre-existing heart or vascular conditions or other significant health concerns, it is crucial to consult a medical professional prior to embarking on the Wim Hof Method.
