As Front-end Engineer at BASH, you’ll be the driving force behind the development of our web app. Your responsibilities include the whole product development cycle, from product strategy to the implementation and monitoring of the production release. You'll work closely with the entire team and share the responsibility for the company strategy. You’re all about building a product that our users love, and you love the fast-paced start-up environment. You like to work in the office and are excited about learning quickly.
We are a team of eight working from an office on the Leidsegracht in Amsterdam to create the online platform for social events, already used by tens of thousands of people. By 2025, we aim to expand to events across the Netherlands, from the smallest pub quiz to the largest festival. To support this growth, we are looking to add a front-end engineer to our team.
Web app: Take ownership over the web app.
Strategy: Add to the product strategy discussion.
Implementation: Translate the strategy to the web app.
Full ownership: You can think holistically about a tech product and know what it takes to ship code.
Strategic thinking: You can think strategically about a startup and love to align your work with the business goals.
Scalability: You understand the challenges of building scalable tech.
Detail-minded: You like implementing beautiful designs and getting into the nitty-gritty of spacings, colours and transition animations.
Communicative: You have strong communication skills.
Fulltime: 40 hours per week.
Experience: You have 1+ years of experience working in React or a similar framework.

Our engineering team comprises three full-stack engineers, one mobile/frontend engineer, a product designer and a data scientist. We work in NextJS/React, NodeJS, Kotlin, Swift and more. We release code daily through DevOps pipelines on various cloud platforms.
