The moment of New Moon is a wonderful moment to take a pause, to meditate and to set new intentions. The ancient stories of the Hindu Gods and Godesses, the myths and legends of the Puranas and the stories behind yoga asanas can provide us with inspiration and grant us renewed ways of looking at life.

During this New Moon Ritual, we will dive into one of the inspiring stories as a source of inspiration for our reflections, meditation and intention setting. We will explore the story of Lord Ganesha and the Moon and connect with the ancient messages behind Hindu stories, still relevant today.

Wil jij jouw partner eens laten ervaren wat yoga met je doet? Of vind je het leuk om eens samen op de mat te staan en samen te genieten van de helende werking van de yoga houdingen?

Partneryoga combineert de diepe werking van de yoga asanas met de speelsheid van acrobatiek en de ontspanning van Thaise massage. Hierdoor kun je de oefeningen vaak op een diepere manier ervaren.

Deze workshop kent 5 fasen:

- Een individuele warming-up
- Samen de jou bekende asanas beoefenen
- Een speelse fase met acro-yoga oefeningen
- Een aantal Thaise yogamassage oefeningen bij elkaar
- Afsluiting in een cirkel

Neem zelf je partner, een vriend of familielid mee, of kom alleen. Je hoeft geen ervaren yogi te zijn om aan deze workshop deel te nemen.

Stap in de wereld van Vinyasa Yoga en verdiep je begrip van ‘flow’ met deze 3-weekse cursus onder leiding van Hanneke. Ontdek de essentie van vinyasa, leer de fundamentele principes kennen en ervaar hoe een bewuste ademhaling de flow van jouw bewegingen bevordert.

Gedurende deze cursus krijg je:

-   Principes van vinyasa: Begrijp wat vinyasa inhoudt en hoe het de flow in jouw yoga practice beïnvloedt.
-   Prana & de vayu’s: Leer hoe energie beweegt in het lichaam en hoe je jouw energie bewust kunt sturen terwijl je beweegt
-   Gebruik van bandha’s: Ontdek het intrinsieke support systeem van je lichaam door de bandha’s te activeren, wat bijdraagt aan een veilige en krachtige yogabeoefening.
-   Basistechnieken: Oefen de basistechnieken van essentiële yogahoudingen voor een solide en plezierige vinyasa ervaring.

Fundamentals of Flow: 3-weekse cursus vinyasa yoga met Hanneke

Make space to feel, to connect, to breathe; to clear out old stuff and create space for something new!

Your breath is always with you, and your body is always in the present moment. So breathing is a beautiful tool to get out of your head and to connect with your body in the here and now. The body keeps the score: what is your body telling you?

By breathing you can become more aware of feelings and sensations in your body. With conscious connected breathing you can open your subconscious. Somewhere in life we created beautiful patterns to deal with emotional pain or tough situations. Patterns that helped us really well and made us also successful in a way. But at some point in life, you have to take a look at these patterns. Are they still useful? The feelings you couldn’t feel back then, want to be felt and need some acknowledgement and expression.

Breathing is a beautiful tool to come back to your true nature and let go of patterns that do not serve you anymore. The way we breath in a breathing session allows you to create new pathways in your brain. You can reconsider: what do I need in my life right now and who am I? Conscious connected breathing works on different levels, emotional, physical, mental and spiritual. It helps you to release tension and to rebalance on deeper layers.

So make space for your heart, your desires, for that what wants to be seen and felt and get some beautiful insights. Breathing together is really powerful, so welcome to join!

A weekend retreat to rekindle the spark! A journey into the heart space. From the physical to the emotional to the spiritual.

Join international guest teacher Florence Dedame at Yoga Nature Studio Maastricht for an immersive weekend that will rekindle your heart fire. During this weekend retreat we will look into an intuitive, holistic mode of cognition where the seat of consciousness is located not in the brain but in the heart.

Exploring the heart space involves attending to our most vulnerable and sacred aspects. There are barricades around the heart asking to be breached. From the root, we will rise to the heart, threading our yoga practice so that it serves with grace and purpose. The more profound healing residing in the most powerful organ of perception we were ever gifted.

The Space of the Heart: weekend retreat with Flo Dedame

Op deze vrijdag, in de aanloop naar de herfst, nemen we tijd om connectie te maken met de overgang naar het oogstseizoen, met koudere dagen en langere nachten. In Ayurveda wordt dit de Vata-periode genoemd, de periode van de elementen lucht en ruimte.

Tijdens deze masterclass leidt Daphne je door een Prana Vinyasa practice die je helpt te gronden tijdens tijdens deze overgang naar de onstuimige herfst. Balanceer je energie middels een reis door de elementen, waarbij we een transitie maken van de concrete materie (ons fysieke lichaam) naar de subtielere aspecten van ons energielichaam. Deze shift helpt ons geaard te blijven terwijl we meer en meer naar binnen bewegen, net als de Natuur.

We starten met een mudra meditatie, gevolgd door een mandala vinyasa practice die kracht en stabiliteit geeft. Van daaruit maken we de transitie naar een geleide meditatie en balancerende ademhalingsoefeningen.

Afro flow yoga is a combination of live music, dance and yoga. And in the container of Afro flow yoga we will bring circles of healing and build community. In this class we will practice to be confident in rooting and connecting with our ancestors. Because when we understand them, we can understand ourselves. In afro flow yoga we will let our soul take over all the parts of our body that our brains try to manipulate. It’s a sense of understanding and pureness that come together and collaborate as one, to become peace.

Understanding our (yoga) body: a glimpse into the unique structure of our body and common ‘lifestyle’ injuries.  Join teacher trainer Iris van Opstal for a one day immersion for this one day intensive. We will dive deeper into the fascinating structure and characteristics of our body. We will see how every single body is unique, with its own special features and quirks, and how our lifestyle may pose challenges to keeping our body healthy. We will study common injuries, like (low) back issues, shoulder tension and wrist injuries, and we will discuss how to use our yoga practice to support the healing process of these injuries. In addition, we will also look into our nervous system, especially related to stress and pain, and how that affects our body, injuries and recovery. This 1-day immersion is a treasure for yoga teachers and for practitioners dealing with injuries or restrictions in practice.
