ZID Theater is a cultural organization, a producer and a stage in Amsterdam. ZID produces multidisciplinary performances and the annual international ExploreZ Festival and provides training for makers and performers. Talent development and creating opportunities for emerging talent with a flight history and migration background are essential to ZID's work. ZID's work is deeply rooted in metropolitan dynamics and issues. The performances are created through co-creation, are associative and consist of authentic concepts of the makers. ZID works urban, national and international. In addition to the Netherlands, ZID was shown in Europe, South America, the United States, Russia and Morocco. ZID has received various awards for its work. In 2020, Karolina Spaic, director of ZID, was appointed with the Royal Decoration as Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau.
