On Wednesday’s menu is a delicious mezze plate by Puck’s Pan.

We’ll have mezze with humus, cannellini bean dip with aioli, eggplant in harissa tomato sauce, red cabbage salad and cauliflower served with a pita.

Both a vegetarian and a vegan version are available.

Thursday Dinner Session, 14 October
The Guest chef of this Thursday Dinner Session is Donny who’ll prepare an elaborate Indonesian ‘rijsttafel’.

On your table will be oesih made from tempeh, tomato lalab, nasi kuning, tahoe goreng, atjar, emping and sereoendeng. And of course spekkoek for dessert.

Pastimes (https://www.instagram.com/saschapeterss/?hl=en) will be behind the decks, to complete the Dinner Session experience.

Friday + Saturday, 15 + 16 October
A quick but delicious vegan meal on Friday and Saturday.

Two Bánh Mì bao buns with lemongrass sriracha tofu or pulled jack fruit, cilantro maggi vegan mayo and pickled daikon and carrot, served with a noodle salad and chips.

Dinner at The Grey Space – Week 41

The Grey Space participates in Museumnacht Den Haag in which the city’s cultural institutions open their doors during the night. The Grey Space presents try-outs of works by artist-in-residence Karel van Laere and dancer and choreographer Eleni Ploumi (in collaboration with DansBrabant). DJ Nèna will close the evening.

Program:
Performance artist Karel van Laere is an artist in residence at The Grey Space. From September until November 2021 he works on his project _Reach_. Van Laere’s work takes place at the intersection of live performance and visual art. His own body is the starting point in every artistic process. A recurring theme in his work is the antagonism between the human body and technological systems.

The starting point of this three month residency is his fascination with laparoscopic instruments (robotic tools used for surgery). This try out takes the shape of a performance in which the instruments are transformed to human bodies.

In her work Eleni Ploumi is always looking for the dialogue between the body and the space and how that space fuels processes in the body. It is this intense experience that she shares with an audience.

Under the motto _Killing Time_, Eleni is working on a research project in which she examines physical limitations and how to break through them. Accompanied by her wooden bench, she travels along various cellars and vaults. Together with the audience she dives into a physical, energetic experience.

Kosari – Pop Up

Sniester is the music festival for everything that rocks and rattles! With stages spread throughout the city. From pop venue Paard and De Zwarte Ruiter to coffee shops, galleries, theaters, foyers and our very own basement.

A long list of over 60 acts are on the line-up of this edition of Sniester including Rats On Rafts, Dool, The Homesick, Smudged, Lifeless Past, The Indien, Paceshifters, Niko, Tousch, Wodan Boys, Kulou and Supersonic Blues.

In our basement you can see shows by Splinter, INBRANDERS, Fuck Fuck Fuck, Rotzak, Prins S en De Geit and Paracetamøl!

Additionally, I Am Lotus and Fuzzy Teeth perform in the cafe for the Popradar pop-up show, entrance for these concerts is free.

Sniester Festival

Students from the Royal Conservatoire and the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague have teamed up in seeking to connect young artists in The Hague, and created a project called Kommunity.

Kommunity brings a night of music to our basement. La Máquina, a percussion group, performs as well as Rita Silva, who plays live electronic music. Furthermore, there are DJ-sets by both D.Harvey.D and La Mer.

Another week, another dinner session. Join us for an inspiring evening carefully balancing delicious food and pleasant tunes.

Inspired by artist Gordon Matta-Clark’s restaurant FOOD, which existed in the 1970s in New York, The Grey Space invites people to come and cook affordable meals as an artistic and social expression during our weekly Dinner Sessions. DJs will guide the evening musically and make you dance after dinner.

This Sunday’s Dinner Session Camilla Casiccia prepares dinner, while Minim is responsible for the tunes.

Menu:
Camilla will prepare a delicious Pasta Fredda. And for dessert we will have tasty avocado brownies.

Dinner Session: Camilla Casiccia + Minim

A Three Fold is a bi-monthly program in three parts: a culinary experience, a micro exhibition and a music and performance program. The audience moves through different spaces during the course of the multisensory event.

This event is sold out, but here’s some good news. Zeno van den Broek and Robin Koek’s Raumklang can be experienced without a ticket between 13:00 and 18:00.

This hybrid August edition is composed of an extensive program with works and performances by Leanne Wijnsma, Zeno van den Broek + Robin Koek, Sebastien Robert + Mark IJzerman, Maika Garnica + Senne Claes and DJ fascia lata.

Program:
- Sensing CO2: a project by Leanne Wijnsma in collaboration with In4Art and Jens Gröger. In the performative installation, the ecological footprint of our digital behaviour is made tangible by converting the CO2 emissions from your personal footprint into soft drinks, creating a sensory taste experience.
- Raumklang: an installation by Zeno van den Broek and Robin Koek co-produced by V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media, that creates a location-specific sound architecture. The installation invites visitors to experience invisible 4-dimensional objects in space which they can only perceive through hearing.
- As Above, So Below: a live audiovisual performance by Sébastien Robert and Mark IJzerman in collaboration with TodaysArt and SHAPE, exploring the changing landscape of the La Araucanía region in Chile and the dualism of man’s relationship with nature via sonic research and investigative visuals created from satellite, microscopic and drone imagery.
- Cirrus: a performance by Maika Garnica and Senne Claes (both members of Sui Moon) that explores the relationship between the environment, spectator and artist.
- DJ fascia lata (Lucie Nezri)
