Getdown Services is a Bristol-based duo offering a danceable and grooving experience. The duo is often described as a mix of Sleaford Mods and LCD Soundsystem. The emotionless spoken vocals could be from a song by The Streets or Sleaford Mods, while the instrumental is as danceable as any disco tune. After releasing a few singles, their debut Crisps will soon be released, an album full of apocalyptic disco, proto-punk, new wave, krautrock and electro-dance.

The Guru Guru

The Guru Guru has been happily dealing in deep express alternative rock since 2012, combining feverishly angular guitars with off-kilter, poly-rhythms, all complimented by erratic and unhinged vocals. Although they draw heavy influences from art-rock, psychedelic rock and grunge, they are not definable by genre.

The Belgian five-piece will release their third album, Make (Less) Babies, in upcoming October. A self-produced record emanating their wild live performances. The listener can expect tight, energetic drums, deep bass lines, virtuoso screaming guitars and a very expressive frontman.

Farewell show – Charlie & The Lesbians



Regrettably, after a remarkable 8-year journey, Charlie & The Lesbians have decided to bring their musical adventure to a close. This poignant announcement was made today. However, fans of the band will have the opportunity to catch two unmissable farewell performances. Throughout their career, this quartet, hailing from Brabant, has been relentless in their mission to ignite punk dives, music venues, and festivals with their unadulterated garage and (post)punk resonance.

Known for their distinct, lanquid, and fuzzy punk sound, they’ve graced renowned festivals such as Noorderslag, The Great Escape, and Ment Ljubljana over the years. Following the release of their eagerly anticipated debut album Fade in 2021 (with a memorable release show during Left of the Dial), they briefly retreated from the spotlight. Yet, despite their farewell, these punkers from Eindhoven have some surprises up their sleeves. Notably, their last performance in Rotterdam achieved legendary status when their electrifying show managed to (allegedly) temporarily shut down the entire Rotterdam power grid. Exactly one year later, they return for an epic grand finale. Don’t let this opportunity slip away, for it is bound to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that won’t be replicated.

On debut album Airship, Noa Lee once again proves it’s distinctive place within the indie-pop realm. The album effortlessly transports listeners to melancholic dreamscapes reminiscent of artists like Beach House or Weyes Blood. It also showcases clever songwriting in the style of Eefje de Visser or Pitou. Additionally, it incorporates sporadic rhythmic or disruptive elements akin to the work of St. Vincent or Fiona Apple.

Under the leadership of Nina Kortekaas, the band excels at conjuring entire worlds from simple imagery on Airship. Her lyrics brim with desire, melancholy, and loneliness in a slightly surreal and detached world. Her lyrical universe is skillfully supported by the band’s robust compositions, driven by compelling beats, passionate vocals, and an intriguing blend of synthetic and acoustic melodies.

The Paris natives, but U.S. habitants Juliette Pearl Davis and Joachim Polack aren’t just musical collaborators – they’re also life partners. As Pearl & the Oysters, they make songs that speak to eclectic tastes in music and pop culture. Their warm and quirky synthpop is incredibly vibrant, dynamic and lively, with heavy inspiration from ’70s Japanese fusion and bleepy space-age sounds.

Their latest album, coast 2 coast, was released in early spring. an eclectic record filled to the brim with tropical sounding songs, and it feels a bit like a computerized beach vacation, or a digitized rain forest. It’s the modern day equivalent of Walter Wanderley, or a more energetic version of Mild High Club. Pearl & the Oysters is a bursting version of laid back elevator music incorporated with dreamy vocals and catchy hooks.

While we all know winter will come to an end, we are already ready to bring a little summer back into our lives.
On Saturday the 20th of January summer will be back in the belly of Vessel 11 for one night, during V11’s very own disco night!

To complement this debuting event, 2 DJ collectives, with Disk Jockeys from all around the country, will be bringing their deep disco boogie vinyl records to the dancefloor to dance with you all evening long.
The two collectives, Discos Horizontes and Space Age DJ Collective will be joining forces for a discofied journey around the globe. Expect genres like Disco, Funk, Italo, world and international music from all time eras and corners of the world.

Adwaith hails from a background steeped in the rich tradition of Welsh-language indie-rock, within a close-knit community of experimental, artistically-driven bands. Inspired by the lineage of boldly experimental bands that emerged from Wales in the 1980s, such as Datblygu, TraddodiadOfnus, and Fflaps, Adwaith aspired to carry forward this uncompromising spirit.

They have steadily built upon this solid foundation by crafting a distinctive blend of sugar-sweet post-punk and noisy indie rock. In doing so, they channel the spirit of some of their musical heroes, including CAN, The Breeders, and NEU!. Adwaith’s guitar-driven compositions are enigmatic, full of favor, and irresistibly catchy, delivering a sound that is both intriguing and captivating.

Evan Uschenko, the accomplished Canadian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, assumes the pivotal role as the creative force propelling GHOSTWOMAN’s blend of psychedelic garage rock infused with blues and indie elements. Despite the rapid release of their third album, Hindsight Is 50/50, within a mere 18-month span, Uschenko ardently asserts that this particular opus is the one that unequivocally encapsulates the band’s authentic essence.

Uschenko Expounds upon the band’s evolution, stating, “The initial two albums were never conceived as comprehensive works; they resemble pages torn from diaries long consigned to the flames. With the addition of Ille van Dessel as a co-writer and drummer, Ghost Woman has, at last, found its definitive trajectory.” The vocals are bathed in reverb, and the album often hints at its intended meaning rather than delivering it in a straightforward manner. The guitars resonate with greater weight, while the vocals become less readily decipherable. Nonetheless, the entire record cohesively unfolds within a warm analogue sound, punctuated by scarce, yet captivating vocal melodies that guide the listener through the tracks, even if their meaning remains somewhat elusive.
